How to promote your podcast.

So you want to get your podcast noticed, how do you go about it? Well podcasts, like web sites, just don't magically attract visitors. You need to go out and tell the people where to find you and there are a few sites that can help you with that.

I will be linking to my podcast pages on these to give you an idea on what the site you will be getting looks like. The resources that I will be talking about are: iTunes, Podcast.net & PodCast.Com, <a href=http://rendalsravings.podomatic.com/" target="_blank">PodOMatic, and Yahoo Podcasts

First <a href=http://rendalsravings.podomatic.com/" target="_blank">PodOMatic. Why this one first? Well mainly because here is where you can host your podcasts. Just type in the Episode/Podcast Title and upload the Mp3 or even record one right there. You start with 500MB of space and 15 gigs of bandwidth. You can upgrade to get more filespace and bandwidth for relatively cheap ($10 a month for 2gigs for filespace and 100gigs bandwidth) which makes this an ideal starting point. From here you get the podcast home page and RSS link you need for the other sites.

Next up is iTunes. Yes iTunes does handle podcasts, I have been on iTunes for a couple months now. It is good to get in on because, and let's not kid ourselves, a LOT of people use iTunes. Getting in on this through PodOMatic is usually pretty easy as they usually do it automatically, but it never hurts to check.

Podcast.net,PodCast.Com&Yahoo Podcasts are our next stops. This is the first place you will use your RSS Feed that PodOMatic gives you. Submission to all three is free and highly recommended as the word podcast is quite well known and so is Yahoo. This will help get your name out there directory wise.

If you follow these your podcast will have a shot in the arm over everyone else and hopefully get better results.

This is another article about AdSense that I got through the article reseller program last month. If you would like to get your hands on 250 articles like this click the link at the bottom of this post.

AdSense is an easy program to grasp: it's a great form of an advertising bringing a lot of benefits to every person in the chain. And of course, seeing the results it can have on a business (and a publisher) people encourage this form of publicity.

For the browsing audience this is probably the most straightforward model available, because they can be directed to a lot of new sites they wouldn't have otherwise found. Needless to say, if you have an AdSense banner on your site, and a large number of visitors you'll know it offers a great financial benefit.

But why does it work for the people clicking the links, as opposed to a standard approach?

It is aided by today's society. With bloggers and information based articles on the internet, people may be encouraged to complete purchases, which adsense can provide links to relevant suppliers whilst also benefiting the publisher.

And the good thing about this is that it works for site visitors as well. In fact Google realized that by pleasing the people who are looking for something, and directing them to what they need faster, everybody wins.

It is because of this that a lot of websites promote through AdSense in both content and search. They do it because they ultimately learned that it works for everyone.

If we look in the past, we can realize that this kind of publicity has a great impact over the people, especially in the last few years. When we enter on a web site and we see a graphical banner, our first idea is to cancel it out of our mind, because it's of no concern to us.

That's why traditional banner advertising is wrong. It's precisely because people are becoming savvy that they don’t look at a flashy banner because they think they'll be losing their time with it.

We've gotten accustomed to banners that don't interest us. And we're accustomed to them having nice graphics. So we naturally associate the two things and think that a banner with nice graphics has nothing to tell us.

But we might look at a text-ad because we've grown accustomed to them being targeted at what we're looking for. Basically these advertisements have marketed themselves into being looked at by any visitor.

This is a typical "no fluff, just stuff" situation. And in the end it means the visitors will see what they're interested in, not some random cool graphics you throw at them.

As stated above, site visitors adopt this advertising mechanism, because it is efficient in leading them to pages of interest and can offer ton of things they really want to see. Someone coming across an article on adsense was probably looking for shoes or doing research on shoes when they came across the article.

And most importantly for everyone, including visitors, this scheme can only improve as the process gets further refined to make ads more relevant to what you're looking for, not just a couple of keywords on a site.

Nowadays, it is because of AdSense that Internet surfers are looking after more interesting related things from banners, and the companies behind the site (Google and the advertiser) need to have better ideas to display, as expectations have increased a great deal.

So could "Do no evil" actually work in today's cut throat competitive marketplace? Well, as you can see it can and it does. And you, as a visitor are the one who gets to enjoy this the most. Advertising becomes less of a burden and more of a benefit, and is still a benefit you can choose to ignore.

Less obtrusive banners; banners that you're actually likely to be interested in and click means you'll be less annoyed by surfing the web and feel like you as a visitor being offered a relevant service.

Although some may feel reluctant to read articles that are there purely to compel consumers, undoubtedly without this consideration they are useful. Ultimately the adverts mean that you don’t have to go back to your homepage every time you are compelled to complete a purchase.

Getting Started With Autoresponders

Well lookie here, a new article. This comes in the Sepetember package of articles that I'm selling for $25 for 250. If you like it there are 24 more where it came from and you can order from the link after the article :)

If you’ve just started your online business or decided to get into affiliate marketing, you’ll be looking to make money. Making money on the net with your new business can be a little tricky, unless you have an autoresponder. An autoresponder is the ideal way to carry out your day to day business – saving yourself quite a bit of time and money.

If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, there are places on the Internet where you can get an autoresponder for free. Keep in mind that if you don’t purchase your autoresponder, the free ones normally come with downsides. The most common downside to free autoresponders are ads on your emails, which will more than likely send your customers the wrong idea.

When you get your autoresponder, the first thing you’ll need to do is set it up with messages or articles that relate to your business. This way, when you send out emails or messages, you’ll be sending out material that relates to your business or products. You should try to write some of your own if you can, which will help you get started in the right direction.

When you load up your autoresponder, you should try to load it with at least 52 messages. This way, you’ll something to send for each week of the year. If you have trouble loading your autoresponder with this many messages or articles, there are places online where you can get your material for free. If you simply don’t have the time, you can always start with a few messages then go back and add more later.

Once you have your autoresponder preloaded with messages or articles, you’ll need to set up your signature. Your signature will be displayed at the bottom of every message your autoresponder sends, and should be your name and link to your business. You can also add a short description of your business as well, which will let clients or interested customers know a bit of information about your business. Your name and link to your business will go a long way, letting your customers know that you are professional.

Once you have everything set up, all you need to do is start sending out emails. Your autoresponder can be set up to send messages automatically. You can also send out emails daily, weekly, or monthly if you prefer. Almost all autoresponders are flexible, easy to use, and will send out your messages when you decide. Once your subscriber list starts to build up, and you get more email addresses to your autoresponder, you’ll quickly see that it’s very beneficial. After you have used your autoresponder a few months – you won’t be able to imagine your business without it.

If you liked the article and would like to get it, and 249 others for you blog or website you can do so by Clicking here.

Get the most from you Adsense with proper positioning.

A couple days ago I found a offer to get access to 250 articles a month and also be able to resell them. I will be posting some of the articles in the package for August to give folks an idea of what you get. If you would like to get access to the articles just follow the link at the bottom of the article.

Positioning of Adverts

After using AdSense for a while you must have begun to ask yourself if there's anything you could do to improve your AdSense based earnings. But before you go on experimenting with this and that setup you have to realize a couple of things about positioning.

The first thing you should know is that there is no universal position that is guaranteed to improve your earnings. That being said, the part above about experimenting is meant to be taken literally. You have to try as many setups as you can to find the solution with the greatest benefit.

But, of course certain places usually work better then others. Of course, Google recognizes this and they publish a "heat map" of how much revenue ads placed in certain portions of the page can bring you. Experimenting is often the best way you can find, what suits the sub conscious mind of your audience.

Generally the most profitable ads are placed within the main content, generally right above it. But this is by no means a rule and there are some exceptions to it. One known exception is having a news site or something similar to a new site.

If this is your case, you will often find that you generate more earnings by placing your ads at the bottom of the content, right before comments begin. This is because as users finish reading a story, they have a short moment where they're looking for something more to do. And your AdSense ads can offer them that something.

Also, placing ads to the left side of your page seems to work better almost all the time. Of course, this is logical because text is generally written from left to right (unless you come from certain countries where it's the other way around).

People will finish a sentence and return their eyes to the left position, which means they have a higher chance of spotting your ads.

Also, there's a bit more to this then just having ads visually in the right place. If you have more then one ad you have to worry about where they're located in the code as well. And there's a very good reason for this concern.

AdSense fills the ads in the order it finds them in the source. That means that if the first add you have in the code isn't the one generating the highest revenue, you may soon start to lose money, rather then earn more.

This is because if AdSense doesn't have anymore ads it will supplement your space with public service ads or just leave it blank altogether. That means that, if you're unlucky, you could end up with your most profitable locations not having any good ads at all. To supplement your revenues

There are other issues with how many ads you should place in your site. The problem is that if you have too many, rather then generate more income, you'll have a lower click through rate, as visitors tend not to follow ads from the places where these come in excess.

You have to constantly keep track of how the users interact with your site. Keep an eye out for where the visitors will be looking at your site most. This is generally the place where you want to use your first ads. Also try not to place ads in annoying positions as that can guarantee a lower click through rate.

Of course, you always need to have ads that blend in with your content and generally don't make the visitor's presence on your site an unpleasant one. The key is providing an enjoyable experience for your visitor, whilst generating revenues from their exploration.

And again, ultimately the best revenue will be earned through a lot of experimentation. Be sure to use AdSense's channels feature and be on the look out for how certain ads in your pages are doing whilst altering the positions to better supplement your earnings.

Safelist Ad Writing Tips

Safelist Ad Writing Tips

OK first off we will answer the question of what is a Safelist? Well a safelist is what it says, a safe list of people you can email, usually at least once a day, without having to worry about being reported for spam. This is a good place to look for people who are just starting out as people inevitably end up in one looking for free advertising.

The two I mainly use are Mad Vlad and AdTactics. They are both credit based lists, which means you earn advertising credits to send your ad by clicking links in other members ads.

Now one of the main problems I see that may have been a neat trick when it started is people trying to put tags in the email's. When I say tags I mean things like [firstname] or [email]. I don't know why people use this, I mainly stick with using phrases like "Hello fellow Advertiser" or "Howdy fellow [insert safelist name here] member". This way you are acknowledging the reader and you can move on, besides most of those tags get messed up now so all you see is a very ugly "HELLO [FIRSTNAME]. That won't get you many responses, if any at all.

The second point deals with the end of the ad. ALWAYS put your name and MAIN web site. I say main one because there isn't much point beating a dead horse and putting the site your promoting under your name as you should've put that in the article. Putting up your main site, which can be your about me site if it's personal or it could be like my main site and have a list of the programs you are currently in along with your personal info. Either way it is another click you can get from them before possibly loosing them.

The third and final tip for now is something I see way to often. People forgetting to include the link of the site their promoting in the ad itself. This happens a lot more in AdTactics than in Mad Vlad for the simple reason that Mad Vlad doesn't have a place to enter your web site address though you still see some people who think people should just guess the web site address because it never seems to show up.

The main reason for this point lies with programs like AdTactics where you enter web site address so people can click the link and get credit. The problem is with this is it doesn't send you directly to the site. It opens a frame that your site loads in while a counter runs (20 seconds on AdTactics) and assigns you credits. You can not bookmark the site from here. So if people click the link and like it they can not get to it again without a direct link somewhere in the ad. Thus you can gain and loose a prospect in the time it takes them to collect their credits.

These are just a couple of tips that should help you out with your Safelist success. Hopefully using these will increase you ad productivity and let you enjoy more free time and less time worrying about how your going to get your next lead.
