If you have been online long at all you probably know this... but a study from the Pew Internet and American Life Project says most popular Web activity for Americans is email, followed closely by searching. The two lessons you should take from these findings are:

1. It makes sense to do email marketing, and<BR>
2. It makes sense to do search engine marketing.<BR>
<P>
After all, both online channels are perfect ways to meet customers in their natural online habitats. But there’s a way to make your search marketing and your email work even better. How? Use them together. Here are three suggestions as to how to do it.
<P>
<B>1. Use Search Marketing to Make Your Email Smarter</B>
To get a strong response to your email blasts, you need to use just the right words and just the right message. This will make your customers want to read your email and respond to it. A good place to start looking for the right kind of language is in your Sponsored Search campaigns:

• Use your best-performing search keywords within your email subject line and body copy.<BR>
• Use your best-performing search creatives as the core of your email subject lines.<BR>

<B>3. Bringing it Together. </B>For this last point, allow me to provide a simple example:
Consider a shopper who’s bought a specific brand of shoes (let’s say, Nike Shoes). She’s very happy with that brand, and the next time she wants to buy a new pair of Shoes, she searches for “Nike Shoes"
<P>
That’s a Sponsored Search click that’s led to a sale—and so, arguably, that’s search spend well spent.

But here’s an even better scenario: The same shopper signs up to an Nike Shoes email list. The next time she needs a pair of shoes, she doesn’t search at all—and so she doesn’t create any search click costs for Nike. Instead, she arrives at the Nike Shoes site via the Nike email, and buys a new pair of Shoes directly from the email linking to the website.

When I found Veretekk I was looking for a method to attract business partners into my business. I had built a large customer base that gave me steady month after month income, but I knew to really take my business to the next level I needed to find others to do what I did. In a sense I felt like the lion in this video (before his guardians found him) looking for direction and a way to expand my knowledge of marketing.

When I found Veretekk I quit purchasing all those ebooks, programs and stuff the internet gurus sell out there to the little guy teaching marketing. Oh yea, I'm still on some of their lists... but not to purchase stuff but to watch and learn from them. <B>Veretekk is a safe haven with tools and systems already in place</B>. <title>Online Training:Techniques for Communication via the Telephone</title>

Do you persuade customers, teammates, bosses or employees via the telephone? Like it or not, you're in telephone sales. Even with all the technology on the the Internet, lots of business still revolves around the phone.
<P>
Here are some quick tips for making your point more powerful.
<P>
<B>Talk clearly</B>. Use short sentences. Talk loud enough but don't over-modulate the mouthpiece (that's announcer talk for distortion). This can be especially tricky when you're on the cell phone in the car. I use a bluetooth ear piece, making it easy to take notes or ordering information. Word of caution do not try to multi-task, carefully listen to what the other person is saying so you know how to respond. 
<P>
Here's a technique I discovered from talking to newspaper reporters back in the corporate days. When you're talking with a reporter and you want them to write down particular points but not others, vary your pace. Talk fast through the points you don't feel are important, but slow down and enunciate the important parts you want in print. The same works for selling on the telephone.
<P>
<B>Leave the script behind.</B> Instead, jot down a few phrases that remind you of your important points. Ad-lib around these to keep your pitch on track. Fear of the phone can be big hurdle for many online marketers. Educate yourself about the product or service you promote. Become a product of the product. Then selling on the phone becomes like talking to your best friend when you know in your heart what's best for them.

<title>Marketing Strategies: Diversity of an Online Business</title>

<description><![CDATA[This past week a tornado swept through Kansas destroying 80% of a town less than 15 miles away. From the looks of the destruction mother nature spared our farm holding the tornado high in the sky for several miles. As I look over the last several years marketing online there have been several disasters thought our world. Not one of these disasters has had a huge impact on my business. If my business would have been a local brick and mortar business relying on the local community only, lets just say the economic outlook wouldn't be good.
<P>
I have a friend on twitter who's community is going through much of what our local community is going through. Here one of many messages: "We're underwater here in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Worst flood ever. Lots of people displaced, homes and businesses ruined. Sad times."
<P>
These are 2 instances just this week that make it very clear why you want a diversified online business. You never want have all your eggs in one basket that goes for customers and products or services that you market. You do want to create your own image and brand for your business. Then put it together like a puzzle tailored to fit you.
<P>
Last week Mike Darling mentioned how keywords can make or break your Veretekk marketing campaign. When I heard him say that all I could think of is more people need to know about Dianna Metiva's Keyword classes she offers in Veretekk. Dianna has taken keyword research to a whole new level. I consider her an expert at keyword research, she has so many tools and cross references it will make your head spin. If you don't do anything else for your business this summer be sure to attend one of her classes.

As I told my twitter friend this week, The only thing we know for sure we will all die someday, what we don't know is when. This is just part of life, those who survive will become stronger because of their experiences. This is very much like succeeding in business it takes someone who has emotional courage and grit. How about you do you have what it takes to make your business survive? One of my best moves I made when I jumped into my business full time was hiring a business coach. Find someone who has done what you are learning to do. Make sure they can give you undivided attention. This will cost you, but is worth it.

<description><![CDATA[When facing what you feel are huge obstacles it sometimes helps to know what others are facing to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Last night a tornado that stormed through Kansas just missed our farm. Our neighbors weren't so lucky... local shelters have been set up... my sis the nurse is working overtime.. 1 confirmed dead and many homes and businesses are completely gone. Kind of makes you stop and think about what's really important. There is only one thing we know for sure is one day we will die, none of us knows when that will be we just know it will happen.
<P>
In life we are always going to have obstacles that we must overcome so we can achive what we truly want. Last night was another one of those obstacles that many neighbors must deal with. It's how we react to obstacles that will either make or break us.
<P>
<B>Obstacles are not walls meant to stop you, they are doors that lead to progress.
</B><P>
 In my business last week I stretched my brain to the max on html code. Html code has been a huge obstacle for me. This morning my html obstacle seems like a tiny bump in the road. It was my  brains creative way of telling me what must be dealt with to achieve my goals.</B>
 <P>
I'm not going to write a long message to explain what is very clear. Everyone, everywhere, doing everything and anything, faces obstacles.  No person is immune from obstacles.  Don't think for a minute that the successful people you hear about in all walks of life (including online gurus) haven't had obstacles to overcome.
<P> 
<B>What's my point? Face your obstacles. Be determined to figure it out. Learn from them.</B> Work hard at it and it will free you to walk through the door to experience the success you desire. 
<P> 
It's simple, but not easy.  Obstacles small and large will always be a part of life and those people who accept this, work at overcoming them, and keep a positive outlook on their future will be the people who continually move forward and enjoy building their online success empire.
