God Is An Artist

God Is An Artist

This evening in the twilight, I beheld the most beautiful sight.
Breath-taking pastels signaling the coming of night.
Blue to violet, and a crooked line of red -
give way to pink meeting the horizon ahead.
As the sun went silently to rest -
My eyes took it all in,
How truly I've been blessed.
Thank you God for painting this masterpiece for me.
Not a man alive could paint more beautifully.

Acceleration

A Video Illustration of Paul Williams' poem, "Common Sense" (http://www.hippy.com/article-60.html). This reflects my current conceptualization of the forces at work on our planet as it heads towards its big rendevouz with destiny! We may not know what, or when or how, but we all know that this matrix is on it's last legs. I, for one, am tired of naval contemplationg and 'being oneness', the activiation energy is hitting now and we need to shake off the trance and get busy creating the future we want to live in. And if you don't yet understand that we are ALL in this together, time to wise up and learn to see the roles we all have played as necessary to get us to this point! I think that if we will just focus on awakening, in every way we can imagine, we'll find that the worst day in our future is only as bad as our best day in our past! Namaste- Lelabear

Economic Crisis In America

The Economic Housing Crisis
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

It's in the news. We've all seen it on television and in the papers. It is the subject of the day, rivaling the presidential election for top coverage. It seems that the haves are intent on blaming the have-nots for the problem, and that is completely unfair.

Finger pointing at those who have failing mortgages, claiming that they bought houses bigger than their pocket books could allow, is totally unfair. The finger should be pointed at the predatory lenders who earn commissions on home loans, and their employers who pushed them into getting the signatures on the dotted lines; and let us not forget the government.

Economic Recovery Plan

The Birk Economic Recovery Plan - I love it!

This idea sounds just crazy enough to possibly work, so naturally it won't be given serious consideration. How great is our bureaucracy!!

Hi Pals,
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+! As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.' But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest. Kindest personal regards, Birk

Random Thought

How do the powers that be, determine the speed ratings for highway curves? Where do they come up with the numbers? Does someone drive them over and over again, increasing speed, until they crash? "Okay, Joe crashed at 61 mph, so this one is safe at 60 mph."

Random Thought...

A Poem From the Heart

My Boy
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

Watch me! Watch me!
I'm a fish at sea.
A monkey in a tree...

Watch me! Watch what I can do!
I can hold my breath 'til my face turns blue.
I can tie my shoe...
I can show you more, if you want me to.

Watch me; I learned something new today.
I've grown at least an inch...
Wait- what did you say?

Look at me!
Look at me!
I've come so very far.
Oh, by the way, can I have the keys to the car?

Watch me now, as I go out on my own.
Don't cry Mom...
This will always be my home.

Dark Angel

Dark Angel
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

You know nothing of my path or plan.
You talk a lot about me, but you don't know who I am.
You speak as though you are a fly on my wall...
But you know nothing about me at all.
You say baseless and wicked things; twisting the truth into a lie.
You will never know me;
You will never try.
Your words are false and all will see...
If I am so evil, why then do you emulate me?
From where I sit your motivations are clear.
Dark angel take flight;
Go far from here.

Ripples of Life

Ripples of Life
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

Toss a stone into the pond,
The water ripples on and on;
Like the choices we make each day,
Creating waves that affect others in some way.
Take care as you release the stone,
So that the wave does not destroy your home.

Secure Your Connection

Drive-by WiFi?
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

If something is worth having, it is likely to be worth stealing, and WiFi is no exception. Drive-by WiF is when a person drives around until they find an unsecured Internet connection, parks, pulls out their laptop, and uses that network connection to access the Internet. It may seem harmless, but it is illegal. You paid for that bandwidth, and no one else should use it without your permission. You paid for your car, and if a person drives off in it, without your permission, it is called Grand Theft Auto. Recently, I came across someone from the Norwood (Colorado) area, who pointed out to me all of his favorite places to steal WiFi, and how it is very difficult to do in Telluride because the business owners there have caught on to it happening and have secured their networks against it.
