Wash in Cold And Win

Greetings and Salutations!

I am on an environmental advocacy kick today, and I'd like to share this information with you and ask you to join me. It costs nothing, but a promise to wash your laundry in cold water. (Cutting back on greenhouse gases.) And, you could win a new home office in the process.

Click below to join me in a pledge to Beat the Heat, Wash in Cold, Score an Eco-Friendly Home Office from Office Depot:

Wash in Cold & Win

Did you know you can reduce your carbon footprint, save energy and money, and give yourself a chance at some great prizes in one simple step? It's a win-win situation for you, the community and the ecosystem…and you can even win $1500 worth of green office furniture and supplies from Office Depot.

What do you have to do? Just fill out the pledge form at c3.newdream.org and then wash 80% of your laundry in cold water. It's that easy. Just by doing 4 out of 5 loads in cold water you'll cut 72 pounds of CO2 emissions this month alone. Keep it up and you'll save more than $60 a year in energy costs too.

Visit the C3 site to sign up and then tell your friends: you could win $1500 worth of green office furniture and supplies from Office Depot or one of several other terrific prizes.

Washing in hot water is more likely to clean out your wallet than your apparel. Today's more efficient clothes washers and laundry detergents make it possible to get even whites clean in cold water. Did you know that almost 90% of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water. Wash in Cold is an easy way to cut down on your energy use

Help me Beat the Heat and sign up today!

Go to: Wash in Cold & Win to join the campaign and learn more about becoming a Carbon Conscious Consumer.

Thank You for Making a Difference,

Trina

Domestic Abuse

Understanding Domestic Abuse From the Inside
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

Domestic abuse is not a new issue. It is something that has been going on ever since the beginning of civilization. It's been a subject to be kept hidden in the closet for a very long time; in recent decades though, it has been escaping. Women have been speaking out about domestic abuse, but more needs to be done to create an atmosphere of awareness among the outsiders, those not inside the proverbial four walls; especially those who are choosing to look the other way. You see, when a woman is in an abusive relationship, everyone who is not a part of the domestic unit, is an outsider.

My Journey A Lifetime of Verse

Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

Book Release

Trina L.C. Sonnenberg, Internet marketer, author and publisher has just released a new book. This book is not in her typical genre of marketing and home business information, but it is a step in the opposite direction. 'My Journey' is a compilation of verse, written over the last 27 years, accompanied by breath-taking photos of southwestern Colorado.

A domestic abuse survivor, Trina used writing as a coping mechanism during her years of abuse. This book is the result of that personal struggle and has been published as a way of offering solidarity and hope to others who are in a similar situation.

Her new book, 'My Journey' is available as a download in PDF format, or in a print version. This is the first book she has authored to be available in both formats.

Past books authored by Trina Sonnenberg (Schiller) are available in ebook format. They include:
Your Beginner's Guide to Syndication
RSS, Blogs and Syndication The Facts vs The Guruese
The DeskView User's Guide

Trina has been writing and publishing online since 2001, with the first issue of the Trii-Zine Ezine (ISSN# 1555-2276) in September of that year. In 2004 she launched the Internet's first syndicated advertising company, AdsOnQ, to expand on her use of RSS technology.

'My Journey' is available at http://stores.lulu.com

Always With You

Where the Time Goes…
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

When you were one, you’d come visit me -
At work, where I’d most always be.

By the time, you were three,
Our world was just you and me -
Mommy and Jeri…
Alone at sea.

At the age of five, our roller-coaster took a dive;
Together, we made it out alive.

However, when you’d turned seven,
God blessed us from Heaven.
Brand new lives were we given.

Eight saw you become a big brother -
By nine, one like no other.

Thirteen is when you really hit the ground running -
Watch out world… Jeri’s coming!

These last few years I've seen you truly come into your own.
I am so very proud of how you have grown.

Love,
Mom

What Mr. Rogers Didn't Tell You

Who Are the People In Your Neighborhood?
Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

How well do you know the people in your neighborhood? Unless you live in a small town, chances are that you probably don't really know your neighbors at all. Regardless of the size of a community, it is probable that there are sex offenders living there, and in many states, unless a convicted sex offender is considered, by the law, to be a sexually violent predator, you won't know it. For example: In the small, neighboring Colorado towns of Nucla and Naturita, where I live, there are three convicted sex offenders living among the communities; information I discovered myself, while researching this article.
