That's what Susan Levin told me after she listened to the Speakers' Summit overview recording I sent to you on Friday.
So I said to her, "But there's so much cool information about the upcoming Speakers' Summit I wanted everyone to know about, and I didn't want to leave anything out."
And she said, "Yeah, but you didn't even pronounce some of the speakers' names right."
"I thought that was pretty funny," said I.
"You need to learn to communicate your ideas better and get right to the point," she replied.
So I said...
"How about we do a complimentary webinar together? That way, I can ask you a bunch of questions about the event, and at the same time, our guests (and I) can get some great speaking tips, advice and coaching from you."
And guess what?
She said, "OK... Let's do it!"
So we set the date, and I made an information page where you can get all the details and instructions on how you can attend on Wednesday, April 8th at 10 am Pacific/ 12 noon Central or 1 pm Eastern...

And if all goes well, you may just meet some other like minded
entrepreneurs to joint venture with, maybe even find some new
customers... or perhaps find someone who has a product or
service you've been looking for!

Last weekend, I was talking with several of my wife’s younger friends and co-workers at a work party, many of whom are new voters. They were sharing thoughts about the apathy and cynicism of their generation and wondering if their vote really does make a difference.
Every election season, we are all inundated with television and radio ads, newspaper ads, direct mail pieces, email campaigns, and in recent years, robo-calls from auto-dialing machines and so on, all geared toward swaying individuals to vote a certain way.
As I listened to these young adults, I heard legitimate concerns about our electoral process, legitimate concerns about campaign rhetoric, trying to figure out what’s true and what’s not, who’s lying and who’s not, and rightfully so!
I told them, as I have told my own children, 3 of whom are now eligible to vote, that is up to us, as responsible citizens to educate ourselves regarding the candidates and the issues we are expected to vote on. It does takes some time and research. But it can be done… especially with all the information we have available at our finger tips via the Internet these days.
But what discouraged and saddened me the most during these conversations was the overall sense that “it just doesn’t matter.”
Yes, it does matter!
And I am not talking about the national presidential election!
Locally, it matters…
… because our votes determine the leadership of our communities, the critical education of our youth and our future; the condition of our roads that we drive upon, the effectiveness of our police force who “protect and serve,” the quality of our fire department; the parks and recreation facilities and many more features that we all help to bring about in our community.
Yes, it does matter!
At the state level…
… where we send our elected officials, those who represent us in the decision making and creation of laws to protect and promote our state; where we determine the way we will care for our state’s beauty and resources; how to grow our economy; how to build our workforce and how to enable our youth, our future to be players on the world’s stage.
Yes, your vote matters!
Elections of individuals or issues have sometimes been won by just a handful of votes!
You have only your one vote!
You have a right to vote!
But more importantly… it is your constitutional right to have your vote counted!
This is what our country is supposed to be about.
Don’t let anyone steal your right to vote!
