Monday, May 14, 2007

I spent some time and re-vamped the Dynamic Presentation Link in order to drasticlly shorten it and make it more paletable to the search engines.

NOTE: The old links still work fine and there is no need to change any you may have in existing posts or webpages.

Old URL Format:
QHelper Demo Presentation:
http://allonq.com/p/954856851~YWxsb25xLDUw&s=1

New URL Format:
QHelper Demo Presentation:  http://allonq.com/pr/3702&s=1
QHelper Users Manual: http://allonq.com/pr/3776&s=1
QStudio Demo Presentation: http://allonq.com/pr/720&s=1
QStudio Users Manual: http://allonq.com/pr/198&s=1

Upcoming Conference Room Changes

Monday, February 19, 2007

With the upcoming changes as a result of the GlobalTalk rooms being discontinued, please be sure to update your QHelper and QView Branded settings to reflect the changes.  Also, don't forget to edit any webcasts you may have to reflect updated conference room information.

If you have went with an INetCommunicator room, or any other brand of conference room, you will need to update the QHelper/QView Branded settings with the URL which leads to the login page for your new room.

If you will no longer have any type of conference room, simply delete the information in the corresponding fieled under the settings to deactivate a conference room being available to those products.

QDrive and QDrive Turbo Overview

Saturday, December 30, 2006

QDrive and QDrive Turbo are in the final stages of development getting ready for Beta testing in early January.

Santa and his elves have been busy throughout the holiday season to bring you the next content management tool which will bring the power of distributing your content dynamically from multiple content distribution servers.  This increases the horsepower behind delivering such things as images, multi-media (.wmv, .swf, .mov, etc) as well as audio files and podcasts (i.e. .mp3, .wma, .wav, etc).

QHelper: New Typing Status Indicator

Monday, November 20, 2006

I have added a Typing Status Indicator to QHelper due to popular request.  Now you can tell if the other person is typing and no longer have to wonder if they fell asleep at the keyboard.

Well of course it's not perfect but will give you an idea if any typing activity is taking place on the other side.

Round Table Discussion on 11/17/06 at 9:00am EDT

Monday, November 20, 2006
Variety of topics discussed.  One segment went in depth on how to use QHelper as a doorway into your sales funnel and how the perception of Live Assistance is even more important in a pre-sales environment than the traditional support mindset. (45 min)

Qhelper is definitely a way to go for providing a way of immediate contact to website visitors. It adds life and live communication to websites, which is more appreciated, especially when visitors need assistance.

QStudio/QHelper: New Feature - Copy URL for an Entry

Sunday, November 19, 2006

Have you ever been in a presentation with QStudio or assisting someone in QHelper and they asked the dreaded question of "what's the URL for that site"?

As you cringed in terror, you politely said "Sure, just a minute...." knowing how you would have to leave where you were in your presentation and go to a different location, copy the URL then go back to your presentation.

QHelper: Your Sales Funnel Just Got Bigger!

Monday, November 13, 2006

A new feature was added today in QHelper.  If you own a 3 seat or more TTCGlobaltalk or Veretekk room you now have easy access to pull your customers into your room to start the relationship building process.

When a customer hits your site, they most time find the information they are looking for and if they don't they assume your product/service doesn't meet their needs.

QStudio: Flash/Windows Media Video - Specifying Dimensions

Sunday, November 12, 2006
Depending on the software used to record a Flash movie or Windows Media Video, I have found that "sometimes" Internet Explorer can not detect the dimensions and that most of the time FireFox never does.

I have made some modifications to allow you to specify HEIGHT and WIDTH to correct this so it always displays properly.

QStudio: "Talking Pages" with Dynamic Presentation Links

Saturday, November 11, 2006

I have made some changes to the Dynamic Presentation Links (available with Pro and Advanced version of QStudio) which now allows you to "associate" an .mp3 file with the entry (webpage, graphic, Flash movie - what ever you have for that entry).

With this new feature it "auto senses" if you have an .mp3 associated with the page and begins playing in the little Flash MP3 player above the Dynamic Content Viewer navigation icon.

QHelper: Additional Intelligent Button Code

Monday, November 06, 2006

I have added a 200x30 Intelligent Button Code selection to the QHelper Button Code section.  I found it necessary to have the option of a "thinner" button for certain things so I figured you would as well.

Things on the available later this week:

ADDITIONS:

  • Typing indicator (so you can see when the other person is typing)
  • Allow operator to obtain a copy of the chat transcript

CHANGES:

  • Improve detection on when "customer" leaves a session prematurely

Thanks!

Neal
