Personal Bio:
By day, I manage a legacy software testing team as a consultant to a major
telecomm company. I have been in the telecomm industry for 24 years, 15 of
which have been in the IT side of the house. For the past 4 1/2 years, I have
supported testing teams as Test Project Manager and I hold a Master's
Certificate in Project Management. I have also worked the technical side as a
developer, designer/analyst and tech/team/project lead in a COBOL,IMS, MVS, DB2,
VSAM environment.
I am native Floridian, but I currently reside in Wylie,
TX, which is a suburb of the sprawling DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) metroplex. I
enjoy reading, photography, jewelry-making/beading, oil & pastel painting,
hiking, beachcombing and just being outdoors.

Business accomplishments: I have created and maintain
websites for my own businesses and several
other businesses and individuals.
Being largely self-taught in html, each site has presented unique challenges. I
have run a successful email newsletter, and now publish on three different
Quikonnex channels. I have written, formatted, compiled and sold ebooks. Most
recently, I have created the infrastructure for a 50+ category article bank.
All of this has been done part-time in parallel with my full-time IT job. In
addition, I have created and sold dozens of new custom jewelry items and I look
forward to developing this new business. My husband and I will soon be moving
out of the Dallas area down to the growing town of Rockport. While on vacation
recently, we found a new gallery opening up. We had discussed opening our own
shop, but just can't do it while both of us are working. This gallery allows us
to rent and stock our space and the owners do the rest. I stocked the store
with a couple of my oil paintings, framed photography, lots of jewelry and
giftware. I'm looking forward to making the move and being nearby to see the
business grow and get other businesses running. If you're in the Rockport,
Texas area, stop by Waterstreet Boardwalk in the downtown shopping district and
check out my shop.
What differentiates your company from
your competition?
KickTheEmailHabit advertising services provide an alternative and/or
complement to email marketing. Using RSS technology, ads placed by our clients
are displayed on the websites and channels of all participating publishers and
weblogs are pinged with each new ad placement. To keep content fresh and
active, we publish a thought for the day page, Kickin' It Daily, and we publish
articles almost every day to drive traffic to the channel. >From a co-op
publisher perspective, one-time implementation of a simple line of code and, of
course, promotion of services, is all it takes to participate. There's no email
to cull through, no confirmations,
list maintenance, or other time-consuming
activities to take away from your own publishing activities.
Cathy's
Creations offers only high-quality jewelry items made with the best materials
and sterling silver findings. Most pieces are made from bone, wood, stone and
semi-precious gemstone beads. Special requests are gladly entertained. I've
found the pricing to be substantially below current "boutique" markets selling
comparable products.
CarltonsCorner is also RSS-based and email free,
plus it covers a wide variety of topics. Very little advertising too right
now!
CarltonsGifts features a wide variety of products at a constant 20%
discount. No need to go looking for sales.
CarltonsPhoto features our
original photographic works, all of which are hand-signed, matted and mounted -
ready to hang in your open stock frame.
WingsAndAPrayer features an
assortment of inspirational and angel themed items which are not likely to be
found elsewhere. Also featured are custom-created greeting cards created from
our original photographic works, hand-signed, labeled and including your choice
of pre-written verses/message or even your own message.
WildWeaselDomains features value-pricing on domain name registration.
Even regular pricing is 1/3 that of the "big name" registrants. Plus, the
domain is registered to YOU, not to some reseller. I encourage Quikonnex
publishers and and webmasters who host their accounts on freebie hosting
services (ISP, local) to secure a .com domain name to help establish name and
brand identity and present a more professional image.

I would consider strategic alliances that are truly strategic for all
parties involved.
Types of companies you're looking to do business with:
Would consider a co-publishing arrangement for Carlton's Corner for a
prolific author whose businesses are complementary to, but not in competition
with, my own. Open to other mutually-beneficial relationships
