Hi Everyone!
In all the spare time I've had lately (grin), I have taken up a new, creative hobby. It gives me a little time away from my PC and gives my husband a clear view of the TV for a while!
It started innocently as a single purchase of a "gotta have" stone pendant from eBay, but it has quickly blossomed into a passion for beads. Of course, once you start buying them, you have to do something, right?
Okay, I admit it. Jewelry making may be a strange past-time for a geekette, but I really do have a creative side. I also enjoy oil painting, pastel painting, photography and I even dabble in silk floral arrangement (another recent hobby).
So don't be frightened away thinking this is techno-geek jewelry!
I started working with glass beads. Those pieces are fine, but I have found that I really prefer working with natural stones, semi-precious gems, bone, coral and wood.
Guys, don't think this is a girly site.
My favorite creations are those I have
made for my husband. I just love the warm, rich tones and the combinations that are possible with wood, bone, coral, obsidian, onyx and the darker varieties of jasper. Besides, I love the pride with which my husband wears my creations.
You won't find any commercial, mass-produced jewelry here. All of my jewelry is handmade. I use only top-quality stringing materials. With the exception of the organza ribbon chokers, most necklaces are made with strong nylon over wire beading wire and all sterling silver rings, clasps, bails, posts, etc. Some of my creations are made with glass beads, but you'll find most of them are made with jasper, sodalite, lapis, coral, bone, onyx, unakite, sardonyx, goldstone, and other natural beads.
Payment is via PayPal. The $5.50 Flat rate shipping per item includes Priority Mail Delivery with Insurance. If you wish to purchase multiple items to be delivered to the same location, please contact me for a shipping quote.
