FavIcons Made Easy!

Monday, April 19, 2004
Have you ever noticed that when you visit
some websites that you have bookmarked,
there is a different icon for that shortcut?

Welll there is no mystery,
they're called FavIcons.

They are an unique identifier for your
website that your visitors will remember
and associate it with your website.

FavIcons are basically a very small
image file stored on your server.

You can make your own by hand if you're
good with a paint program like paint
shop pro or Photoshop.

There are also...

a few programs online that you can purchase
to use in making these small icons for your
website.

But I have an easier way of doing it and
it will save you a lot of time.

If you have a logo or small image for your
site already, you can simply click here to
visit a site that will transform that image
into your very own FavIcon file for your
website.

Click here to make yours now. It's fast and free!

Enjoy!
Joe

Thanx for the little tip there Joe! I ran right out and got my own favicon! It is a nice little do-dad to dress up the address bar!
