'Burgundy Lace' Japanese Maple

Monday, April 05, 2004

Acer palmatum 'Burgundy Lace' is a deeply divided, red leaf form in the 'matsumurae' group.

The Burgundy red leaves of this cultivar are sharply toothed along the edges. Leaves turn a bronzy green-red in summer.

It makes a nice, upright growing small tree up to 18 feet tall and wide. Quite hardy and beautiful, it fits well in the landscape and responds well to pruning.
