Is article marketing
as effective as it once was? That depends on who is doing the writing and whether or not it is an article or just a sales pitch. Google doesn't like a sales pitch. Google likes readable, informative content.

Yes, you have to incorporate a bit of SEO into your articles, but it must be done with finesse. Too many web sites that are linked to through articles have not been search engine optimized. I have had clients whose web sites have no tags, keywords, or even a description listed in the HTML. This is bad. If you have a web site for a business opportunity, you should get with the developer and make sure that the site itself is optimized, or else it will have no corresponding relevance to the article being used to promote it. Google reads the HTML first and fore most. It looks for tags, then it reads the content. Too many links will disqualify your article. Too many keywords will confuse the bots that read them. Irrelevant keywords will doom the article as well.
I created AdsOnQ to help non-writers especially, so that promoters can have professional articles written to serve as their online advertising solution, and needs. If you Google the key phrase, online adverting solution, you will see that AdsOnQ is on page one, where it has been for the last seven years. Why? Because I know what I am doing. AdsOnQ is an RSS feed which search engines love. Articles are noticed as soon as they are published because a feed can ping and make search engines aware that there is new content. The feed gets crawled upon publication of that new content, and does not have to wait for the next crawl schedule to be listed. I have had clients reach page one in a matter of days, for their keywords, rather than months. I have never had a dissatisfied client.
That being said, the article is not the only factor in ranking or indexing. The web site it leads the reader to must also be optimized. Get with the web master and make sure that the proper SEO has been incorporated into that web site. Insist on it.
What is AdsOnQ? Article Distribution and Syndication On Quikonnex. What is the specialty of AdsOnQ? Writing articles that get back links to web sites and indexing on Google. A 500 word article costs the client $50.00 at present, since rates have been reduced to accommodate the market. Not many people have money to spend on promotion; therefore, prices have been temporarily reduced.
