I Have A Question

I have a question that I would like you to answer for me. To make it worth your time, I have decided to give you something in return; if your answer is chosen as one of the top three best answers to my question.
This is what I'm a gonna do...

The top three best answers to this question will receive some Front Page free advertising on The Trii-Zine Ezine. They will send me their web site URL and full name, and I will publish it, including a live link, back to their web site and their contact information (your name).
Sound fair?
Here goes: Why is it that people seem to join NETWORKING programs using their product or business name instead of their own?
For example: I get email notifications that look similar to this-
Fruita Vida has just joined such-n-such (networking group). Not Joe Schmoe just joined, but Fruita Vida.
Seriously... I really want to know why people do this. I join networks to meet people, not companies, products, etc.. Why on Earth would I want to network with someone who won't even tell me their name? I mean... I understand the concept of screen names, but shouldn't it at least identify you as a human being? I'm not interested in getting to know a bottle of juice, I want to know people.

I'm learning the importance of branding myself, but for now, my site is more of a personal wiki, then just a branding another company, but more of my files are private. I will probably look to publish more files, but for now I'm cool.
Today is a year for me to get really introvert, so I may have a post or two of products or services I use, but for the most part, I will be finishing school, and working on improving my health.

Unfortunately there is a lot of intrigue and deceit on the internet and many people are frightened to let you too much about them and they think, Mistakenly, that they are protecting themself.
I enjoy a screen name, nightbear, but it tells you a little about me, which is another story. but I always sign my real name to anything I communicate.
Great question.
You are definitely limiting your appeal to a wider audience if you register under a company name, or something like "make money quick". People are not going to respond as warmly to you until they get to know you, and that is a big drawback.
Definitely I believe you should register as a person not the company whose products you are trying to push.
