I've been using Firebird for some time now and love being able to set up my browser to work and do what I want it to do.
Firefox 0.8 is the next step up and it's great. I installed it last week. It's fast and you can still find your favorite extensions like Tabbed Browsing, ...
... Ad Blocker, Web Development Tools, Bookmark Backup, Tip Of The Day and so many more. If you've watched your statistics lately, you will have noticed that IE is slipping - slowly but surely - as the browser of choice.
Like many others, I kept hanging on to IE but it just isn't worth the risk anymore. While every software will experience challenges, Microsoft doesn't seem to take some of the security issues facing them very seriously. And you and I are the ones who suffer the consequences. But that's another story.
In the latest version, you will notice a new Download Manager which will make it easier to keep track of your downloads.
If you haven't tried Firefox yet, you can download it here.
Firebird 0.8
Once you've done that, open the Firefox browser, select Tools from the toolbar and go to Options. That will open a window and you'll see several options there.

Adding Extensions to your Firefox browser is easy - just click on Extensions in that open window. You'll see a link that says 'Get more extensions'. Click on that and you'll be taken to the Extensions page.
Now this is the fun part - it's like being a kid in a candy store. You can choose from 153 extensions to add to your browser. These extensions will add to the functionality of the browser. Just follow the directions given. In most cases, it's a good idea to close the browser after adding an extension; then just re-open it to add a new one.
So have fun.
