Brain Storm! Business Podcast: Online Video Statistic Webinar, sponsored by 1st Podcast Publishing

In today's Brain Storm! Business Podcast, we are going to discuss online video statistics, and how businesses are using online video to advertise, market and sell products and services.

This is a 75 minute audio extracted from an online Webinar I did today. If you would like to see the Video Class, you can watch it here. We discussed statistics on broadband users, video watchers, user generated content, and different types of video. We also talked about what you need to create the video.

Broadband is giving more people access to online video than ever before.

I was asked 3 years ago why I wasn't teaching video as well as audio. My response was that there wasn't sufficient broadband to warrant creating something that most of the world still couldn't review. My tune has changed, since about 50% of the US now has broadband. It's time to do video (although I don't plan on doing it for Brain Storm!).

Traditional marketing firms are late movers in regard to online user generated video - which is great news for those of us who want to be first movers.

It's amazing how the statistics show that big company marketers know that they should be using User Generated Content, but they aren't. It shouldn't surprise me, but it still does. As far as I'm concerned, it just leaves more room on the internet for our own UGC ventures.

Video production is neither hard nor necessarily expensive.

When the class was over, the one thing people were surprised to learn was that it wasn't going to be that hard to create video. It didn't take that much equipment, software, nor expertise. We reviewed Kathy Maister's video on Cooking (which I always brag about), because she uses still photos combined to create a video, and she never loses your attention. It's divine to watch, and an inspiration to people who never thought of doing it that way. (Here is her RSS feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/KathyMaistersStartCookingVideoCast.)

So if you are even the slightest bit interested in online video and how it is being used for business, then this class will be interesting to you.

I have tons of information in it, tons of statistics, and if you watch the video, you can see the visual examples as well. I am offering a 3 week Fast Track class with 6 more sessions on video production for online business videos. If this is something that interests you, please let me know.
