Who or better yet What is JSLPS

Sunday, February 08, 2004
As you have probably guessed JSLPS is an acronym and it stands for "Jimm's Small Lot Print Shoppe".

I started this little side business as a help to friends of mine who with their small buisnesses had no need to order large quantities of printed materials be it letterhead, buisness cards or item lists for their products.
Also as a convenience to fellow truck drivers who just needed a few business cards to hand out to customers. These people had low volume requirements and if changes were required on this material it cost them an arm and leg as they would have to once again order large lots and throw out the old. I put together small quantities for them at reasonable prices so the impact on their start-up bottom line could be lessened. I then added newsletters to my portfolio when a company asked if I could put together their newsletter in a small quantity. I did as I enjoy a challange and I had good people to work with in it's production. Next I delved into the creation of installation guides and promotional brochures for an electronic firm manufacturing vehicle anti-theft devices.

I've done Social tickets (those of you not from Manitoba in Canada may not know what socials are( I know I didn't before I moved here) but they are fairly popular gathering for just about any special event) and designed and helped design a few company logos. I've worked with others in a colaberative effort on audio/video presentstions in both avi and swish formats. I am not an artist but I can cut and paste, hack and layer with the best of them.

JSLPS started small and fun in 1994 and it's still small and still fun.

I love the fact that I can come up with an idea for an image or logo and then I turn it over to you to make it special.

I truly appreciate all the effort you have put in on my behalf. I'm fortunate in that I get to see all your creations first hand.

If you want help designing a logo or business card that will stand out and be noticed - this is the guy to come to.
