The "Feedback" for Long-Term Focus, Learning, and Commitments

Saturday, April 29, 2006

Virtually every associate of every enterprise gets feedback from colleagues and supervisors from time to time. While these types of feedback are important for discipline and structure, there is another type of feedback which is critical for the "people part" of the enterprise

Mihaly is a scholar in Pshycology and his spent most of his life researching what he calls "flow."  The state of total involvement brought on by equal amounts of challenge and skills.  He has applied his studies to business applications all over the world and is the author of Good Business.

We feel this is an epiphany in that associates must be getting direct feedback from their daily activities for their to be self-motivation, involvement, pride, passion, attention, and accountability.  This is one of the critical areas and most important results from leading relationships.
