In terms of advertising, the Internet supplies an abundance of resources and options. If you've got something to sell, you've got eBay, classified ad listings, message boards, etc... If you're promoting a business opportunity, you've got even more options, but what if the thing you are trying to promote is an event of some kind. Event marketing is a little different. Why? Because it is relative to a certain date, time and location. The announcement must be immediate and visible.

It does no good to place an announcement for an event through a ad agency that will not get it posted until the day before, or two weeks after the event takes place. In event marketing, the announcement needs to beLive 'N' On Demand. Time is critical in event marketing.
If you are promoting a training seminar, for home business owners, on the 32nd of April, you need to announce it far enough in advance, to be able to draw attendance to it. And, you need to list it where it will be seen, immediately, by people looking for your particular type of training event. What is the point of advertising your training seminar in the classified section of a dog grooming publication, or web site? Who's going to see it?
It really doesn't matter what type of event you're marketing, a convention, seminar, webinar, teleconference, support group meeting, even a family reunion... To get people to attend, to know it is even happening, you must list it in a specialized database, which is focused on events and nothing but events. Advertise where people are looking for you. And no, it's not in the classifieds.
There is a highly targeted, specialized database, created especially for the purpose of connecting people and events. It is called, Live 'N' On Demand, by iSearchNetwork. This specialized search engine is a definite boon to event marketers everywhere! Listings are categorized by key words and zip codes, allowing advertisers to easily market off line events, using the location zip code, as part of the listing. So, if searcher 'x' is looking for your Puddle Jumpers convention, in Frog Pond, Alabama, they just type in the key word and zip code, and the meeting is right there in front of them.
This system is custom designed to get people to the meeting places, and training opportunities, social interactions, and conferences that are of interest to them. That's why Live 'N' On Demand is the place event marketers everywhere should list, if they're not already.
Being as targeted as it is, you'd think that listings would be on the pricey side, but they are surprisingly affordable. Listings are categorized by key words and zip codes, and the first five key words cost nothing. (Additional key words are $5.00 each.) But here's the kicker... You can post an event for as long as you like, prior to it taking place, and the flat rate is the same as if you only listed it for one day. So, if you list your conference three months in advance, you'll pay the same price as if you had listed it only three weeks, or days in advance. And, if you only list under five keywords, you pay nothing at all.
Another time saving feature to the system is the roll-off of listings. Once the date of an event is reached, the listing is automatically dropped from the database. The advertiser never needs to return to the site to cancel the post.
Event marketing is a little trickier than promoting products and services, but it doesn't have to be. Not anymore, thanks to Live 'N' On Demand, another awesome marketing resource from iSearchNetwork.
