Event marketing is the marketing, or promotion of an event, such as a conference, convention, training seminar, or any other group function. More simply put, event marketing is the process, or action taken to announce an event, for the purpose of drawing people to that event.

Event marketing is a little more complex than the promotion of a product or service, in that events are time specific.
