The art of self-development is one of the most controversial topics in the world today.  Why?because it deals with spiritual growth.  It would be hard for anyone to teach, coach, or have any position on self-development without different concepts of the spirit. 

As the movie "thesecret.tv" is getting alot of bad press lately.  But many have chosen to ignore it and consider this "New Age" teachings.  The problem I have personally with this mindset, is these teachings are older than mud.  I can't find anything NEW about universal laws.

I've always considered myself scientific when I approach anything that's said to be "NEW AGE".  I do not blindly decide this is good or bad for my spiritual growth without doing proper research on the subject, as I can not let my emotions cloud my judgement.

After all the research of self-development and spiritual growth, the most concrete evidence I could find about an ultimate sin is ignorance.  It leads to war, murder, assault, violence, etc. History will repeat itself over and over again if we don't put an end to limiting one's growth.

What are the Teachings of the Fire? They are teachings which involve three principles; self-development, protection and healing. Self-development requires that everything we do be done in such a way that it leads us inside ourselves, and in doing so opens us up to the world around us – for the essence of development does not lie in distancing ourselves from the world. When a person discovers himself, he discovers there is no difference between himself and the world around him. He himself, in fact, is the whole world.

The next principle is that of protection, and it requires of us that everything we do be done in maximum safety, first of all in a spiritual sense, but on all other planes as well, in every possible way. When someone is spiritually threatened and attacked, our task is to defend him using the methods taught by the Teachings of the Fire.

And finally, the third principle, that of healing. It requires that everything we do be done in maximally healthy way, both for us and our surroundings. If someone is ill, we are obligated to help him using the methods by the Teachings of the Fire.

Let us return for a moment to the first principle; that of self-development. We should say at the outset, that the Teaching of the Fire are neither religious nor atheistic. Their relationship to religion is as follows: “People, your problem is not whether or not there exist any Gods. There do exist Gods, of course, a number of them, whether you like it or not. Your problem is how to reduce the bad in you, and increase the good.”

Thus in the Teachings of the fire it is not important whether a person follows some particular path, whether it be ideological, religious or some other path. What’s important is that he follows the path that leads towards himself.

Some people have asked me whether a person can be a Christian and still embrace the Teaching of the Fire. There can be no general answer to this question. This is because the answer depends on the person who asks the question, not on the Teaching of the Fire. If a person is a Christian, and if that Christianity leads him to himself, leads to self-discovery, and in doing so opens him up to the world around him, then for that person, Christianity is the proper path.

That, after all, is how one chooses the path that leads to the Teaching of the Fire. The path is not chosen according to something external, but to something within ourselves. Our path must correspond to our own inner nature. If this path of ours leads us to ourselves, then it’s the right path, whether it’s the path of Christianity, Islam, yoga or any other.”

The following overview about laws is possibly the most important part of this entire program. In almost every workshop we hear people say that they have gone through other self-improvement studies, or have read "The Science of Getting Rich" but SOMETHING IS STILL MISSING... All laws fall under the one great law namely "Energy is." and it's seven subsidiary laws. These seven absolute laws mandate everything that happens, on this planet and in this universe. Nothing ever takes place unless it is in accordance with these laws. All science is based on this fact and all events fall under subjection to this fact. Since every event that happens in our life happens according to law, a firm grasp of these natural laws should be of great interest.

Lesson 16 in The Master Key System explains that "The vibratory activities of the planetary Universe are governed by a law of periodicity. Everything that lives has periods of birth, growth, fruitage, and decline. These periods are governed by the Septimal Law."... The Law Of Seven...

It has been discovered that there are Seven Universal Laws which forms the energy matrix for existence. These 7 Laws control and influence all the other subordinate laws, principles, ordinances, and rules which govern the entire universe. They govern every day, creating reliable order and harmony in a cosmos. Ignorance of the Universal Laws doesn't negate their functions, instead actions result in chaos, instead of cosmos... Ignorance of, or attempting to suspend the laws, causes all the disorder, disease, suffering, et cetera experienced in the inner and outer worlds.

In the original writing of "The Science Of Getting Rich" Wallace Wattles did not list the laws. He assumed that the reader was already aware of them. However, Bob Proctor took this lesson to the next level by explaining these laws.

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation

• Energy is, and Energy is forever changing and moving into physical form, and back to pure energy again. Energy is in a constant state of transmission and transmutation.

   

• Everything is growing or dying, sloughing off or adhering, increasing or decreasing.

The Law of Relativity

• Nothing is good or bad, big or small until you RELATE it to something else.

   

• Everything "just is" in comparison to something else.

   

• There are, however, moral absolutes.

The Law of Vibration

• Everything vibrates; nothing rests.

   

• There are various levels of vibration or 'frequency'.

   

• The higher the density, the higher the speed of vibration. The lower the density, the lower the speed of vibration.

The Law of Polarity

• Everything has an opposite: Hot - Cold … Up - Down … Good - Bad.

   

• The opposite side of anything is always equal and opposite.

   

• There is a positive and a negative to everything

The Law of Rhythm

• Everything operates by rhythm.

   

• The tide goes in and out, night follows day, waxing and waning of the moon, good times-bad times.

The Law of Cause and Effect

• Every cause has an effect and every effect has its cause.

   

• Ralph Waldo Emerson called the law of cause and effect "the law of laws".

The Law of Gender

• Male and female are necessary for procreation.

   

• Like seeds, everything has a gestation, or incubation, period.

Laws are the unseen forces that govern every thing on this earth and the entire universe. We can not see the law of gravity but we all live under it and can see its effect. A comprehension of physical laws is called "physics". All mechanical devices operate according to law, and the laws are precise and constant. If this were not so car manufacturers couldn't build cars since the laws that make one engine run would not apply to each car on the assembly line.

We have the technology to fly an airplane through the air at thirty thousand feet because we are aware of the laws that make this possible. The laws have never changed but now we are aware of them and can harness them to our advantage.

As you encounter them in your studies, ADD references into your journal that facilitate comprehension of these Universal Laws and "Predictable Constants", often termed as subordinate laws; meaning they require one or more of the Unverisal Laws to function as a "predictable constant" for reliable orderly energy vibration, thus can be classed as "law"... i.e.

The best definition of natural law seems to be the uniform and orderly method of the omnipotent God.

As Wattles points out,

"You can act in accordance with these laws or you can disregard them but you can in no way alter them. The laws forever operate and hold you to strict accountability, and there is not the slightest allowance for ignorance…Once a person learns and obeys these laws, he will get rich with mathematical certainty."

Dr. Warner Von Braun, the father of the space program, said:

"The natural laws of the universe are so precise that we do not have any difficulty building a space ship, sending a person to the moon and we can time the landing with the precision of a fraction of a second."

Knowing that laws are absolute, Wattles states:

"THERE IS A SCIENCE OF GETTING RICH, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws, which govern the process of acquiring riches, and once these laws are learned and obeyed by anyone, that person will get rich with mathematical certainty."

RICH means having ALL forms of WEALTH... i.e. life, health, loving relationships, healthy and safe environment, financial prosperity, meaningful satisfying vocations, and plenty of free time to enjoy the many gifts God has provided for us to access and wisely enjoy.

God's many gifts to me include life complete with more talents and abilities than I could possibly use, along with an orderly universal system in which to be and give my gifts to God, which include developing talents and abilities to their fullest potential by wisely using the universal laws and their subordinate laws, principles and rules.
