PayPal Report - Avoid AUP Violations

Thursday, September 14, 2006
Mike Filsaime of Butterfly Marketing fame has put out a lot of information in the past much of which costs quite a bit. However, he just released this report for FREE and I 100% recommend it. Download it at this link: http://the-pay-pal-report.com/ThePayPalReport.zip.

PayPal is an excellent service to use, but you have have heard some negative reports on them freezing accounts and such. This report will set you straight on what can cause this.

Glenda,
I've used PayPal for years and never had any problems. Then again, I don't make gobs of money yet either. :-)

I certainly agree that the rules could be made to be easier to understand.

Yes, too many cooks I'd say for sure. Great idea , how about what we can do.

Exactly Jim
Also Split pay systems are not good for the customer. Don't you dislike going through multiple links for purchasing?
What a hassle.

Anyway here is another small tip, as far as PayPal goes or any processor online, do not put all your eggs in one basket.
Have more than ONE payment option for
your site(s) if possible.

I am one of the PayPal casualties regarding their paypal policies, NO fun.
and also they have banned me using all my ccards online for one time payments
from other vendors using PayPal only as a payment option.
It seems to me now if it is so easy to setup and use which PayPal is, it's too good to be.

There are so many new payment processors
online now that are questionable also, to do good service for your business and not be a shady operation.

Well as a consumer and a vendor, there is NO middle ground either.

Glenda, PayPal is a top notch service and should not be discounted as a way to take money. Their fees are low and they provide many ways to integrate their system into an existing website. What their AUP does is eliminate many of the scams & money games so prevalent on the Net.

Split Pay systems are another deal altogether. They're great for affiliates, but not for customers. How would you like to have to go to 2 different people to get a refund? They setup for high commission sales 50/50 or 60/40 splits so the affiliate get a bigger chunk. I read on the Warrior Forum that JV'ers and affiliates won't even look at a product that doesn't pay 50% commissions or greater. Does this mean the product is way overpriced? Typically yes!

wow, fantastic report. Alot of it is still confusing to me as I've not made any money yet. But I will certainly pay attention to it.

I've just about decided not to use PayPal for anything I do.

It also sounds like PayPal has too many cooks in the kitchen. Someone needs to be in charge and make rules that all of their reps can understand and explain.

Also, instead of telling everyone what they 'can't do' why don't they write something up telling us exactly what we 'can' do. Wouldn't that be simpler? Or, write something that tells us both in a list type format.

I don't understand why they don't like the split payment idea. I think it's wonderful and would save the program owner time and money. PayPal still gets their fees regardless.
