I received an email from a customer of mine complaining in the past 24 hours he had only 2 new referrals from two traffic exchanges he was surfing. You got to be kidding me!


This guy wanted instant wealth from the internet. Folks I guarantee you it will not happen. If you are in need of instant money, I suggest a trip to the local 7-11 store and apply for a job. Yes, the internet can provide you instant information on any subject you desire, but not instant income.

I am truly amazed at the numbers of people who are still advertising affiliate pages in traffic exchanges. Reams of information are furnished on how you only have a very few seconds to capture a surfers attention. You are not normally going to catch their attention with an affiliate website or a long winded site of some kind. A short to the point splash page is the answer. Get their attention with the splash page and send them to your affiliate page. Better yet, why not capture their name and email address and send them some information on your product or service.

Folks, I am now looking at a website in a traffic exchange that has 274 lines of text. Now, this may be the best written text in the history of the internet, but I guarantee you most surfers are not even going to pause at this site. The owner would be much better off using a splash page to send surfers to the page. This internet marketer probably would do even better capturing a surfers name and email address and send them the web site text in an email.

Are you just blindly, pogo sticking from one exchange to another with no idea to a surfing pattern or any discipline. Then wondering why you are having no succes in traffic exchanges. There are many recommending traffic exchange out there. Pick 20 of them.....put them into two groups of 10. Then divide your surfing day into two equal time-wise sessions. Today surf Group 1 in your first surfing session and Group 2 in your second session. Tomorrow reverse your groups....Group 2 and then Group 1. If you faithfully surf the pattern for 30 days, your results using a splash page will improve.

Why do I include the Traffic Exchanges Updates and Tips information? Many of us do not even read the information in 'admin' emails from exchange owners. Here is my consolidated list of those worth sharing:

*MaxTrafficPro - William Brandt reports that Michel Lavernge completed a companion e-book for MaxTrafficPro. This is a great tutorial on how to use the site. What's even beter is it is brandable with your MTP user name and can be distributed freely by you to help refer new members. This is a great tool that I think most members will find very usefull. Tony's Tips:

1. I do beleieve in a simple formula for success using traffic exchanges: Persistence + Repetition + Duplication = SUCCESS!

You must be persistent in working manual traffic exchanges. You must set aside a certain amount of time each day to work traffic exchanges.....1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or more. The pesistent part is more important than the amount of time. You must repeat this surfing process daily and you must train your teams to duplicate your efforts.

2. Tracking your advertising efforts is important. If you do not track your traffic, you will never know if your favorite traffic exchanges are delivering traffic at an acceptable rate. Do not rely on some so called 'guru' advice on which traffic exchanges are effective. You need to make those decisions based on some basic facts.....ad tracking.
