It's with a heavey heart that I write of the passing of Doug Williams. Doug was a leader in the world of traffic exchanges. Many of his ideas are now taken for granted in traffic exchanges.
Doug was my mentor for many years and we spent hundreds of hours discussing the internet. We spent countless hours discussing the problems and thrills of our world. Our pride of being a husband and father was often a subject of these conversations. I will miss those conversations.
There was never a conversation without his being able to work in his favorite phrase: "Just Do It!"
Doug had a conviction of what was right and wrong on the internet. He stood for those convictions even if his stance at time was not popular and not necessarily good for his business. He withstood a heavy barrage of critism when he banned doublers, triplers, randomizers, and other investment type programs from his exchanges. He knew they could not sustain themselves and in many cases were out right against the law. He did this even though those programs were poplular at the time.
Our feelings are best told in the words of others:
-----
If it weren't for Doug Williams, I wouldn't be here writing to you right now. I would never have become involved with 3-Step, MoneyLegs, etc. and I never would have met an incredibly wonderful group of people.
Something about Doug just made you want to do well. He was a great encourager. He taught you what you needed to succeed and kept giving you information along the way and new things to do and try along with that oomph you needed to continue. And he was undoubtedly one of the great innovators in online business today. I've fallen away to do more personal projects lately, but I will never forget him and I will be eternally grateful for all that I learned because of or through him.
We lost a great man when Doug died on Wednesday. My sympathy goes out to his family and to everyone involved with the ZSWAZ corporation.
----
One of the world's best has moved on.
We shall meet again, Doug. God bless.
----
Thanks Doug for all that you have done for so many, including myself. Let's never forget our mentors and teachers...........it's the folks that tell you what you don't want to hear that are the most valauble in our lives. Those that say all the right things to your face are not necessarily the ones that will be there in the end for you. Doug was always there........and will be missed by so many, including me. May eternal rest be granted unto his soul, and may everlasting life shine upon him........Amen

Doug was a pioneer in this business and will be missed. My condolences to the entire WIlliams family and the 3 Step community. Rest in peace Mr. Williams!
----
Doug Williams was a good man, an honest man, a man with a tough exterior and a heart of gold. If you needed help, he was there as mentor and friend alike.
----
Doug Williams has given something to us all. As we produce our business on the Web he shall be there. He was late for a conference one morning and said he and his wife had been having a warm cup of coffee (or tea) watching the sun come up over the water. A pleasing memory.
----
I'd like to also extend my condolences to the family of Mr. Williams. It is my hope that after your grieving you will be able to celebrate Doug's life and accomplishments. The Internet will not be the same indeed!
----
Many people found their first successes through Doug and his programs. May he rest in peace.
----
He will be missed and is a great loss not only to the members of his family, programs etc... but our whole online community.
----
Doug touched many of our lives and his online family will miss him. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to you during this difficult time.
----
You will be missed Doug. May God bless you and your wonderful family.

I'm sad to hear of the passing of my old friend Doug. He was insrtumental in building my first Internet business, EZZE.NET and I probably wouldn't be here today without him.
My sympathy, respect, and regards to his family and his "Cyber-Fammily".

I agree with everyone. Doug taught me so much in the last 15 months. I now feel like I can make it online and a lot of that is because of Dougs teachings. He will be sorely missed. We can honor Doug by carrying on his teachings to all new people that join his programs.
I will miss Doug but always remember what he taught me. Two of Doug's favorite phrases that I will always remember are "due diligence" and "Don't Try, Just Do It" I am sad when I think of all the Internet Marketers who will never get a chance to konw Doug or to learn from him. I am very grateful that I had the chance to know him and learn from him however briefly.

We just loved the conviction in Doug's voice and his actions always backed up that conviction. The Father has gained a valuable soul. Now it is up to us to make sure that legacy is carried forward. Now it is our turn to "Just Do It!" as the foundation has been laid for us and others to follow. Maybe all of us can go forward with just 1/4 of the passion Doug displayed. Our deepest sympathy to the Williams family and all involved with ZSWAZ.
He is not gone. Doug lives on in the heats, minds and the work we do.

Yes Tony, Doug will be missed. He had the values and drive that it takes to succeed online and off. He will be missed because of his values and someone with the perseverance and strength to enforce them.
Someone so special can never be forgotten.
I used a couple of Doug's exchanges, but I never got to know him personally. However, I always admired the fact that he did things his own way, regardless of the 'heat' he caught for it.
To me, that attitude really embodies the entrepreneurial spirit. :o)
Thanks Tony, it's great to see everyone's positive thoughts and memories of him. Doug was a leader and one of the first people I ever interviewed for Hit Exchange News. For everyone who ever spoke to him on the phone, you know he was passionate about his business. A sad week for everyone!
Doug taught me more in a month than I learned in 4 years on the internet. My deepest sympathy to his family and all his friends
