The NoBSZone article I posted on the Feb 3 has been very successfull. It's received more comments and unique hits in a shorter period of time than any other article I've written. However, it's not gotten me a refund and NoBSZone has failed to adequately address this situation.
I requested refunds the day I posted this article and to date, I've not received anything. Additionally, when I cancelled my NoBSZone membership and reported this as the reason and requested a refund of my latest month's billing (invoiced 3 days before this discovery) I received nothing but an email (9 days later!) informing me that my membership had been successfully cancelled.
I think the security breach may be bigger than NoBSZone thinks. This article has received more unique hits than any other article I've posted in the last year. While it may be the case that only 34 have been discovered, it may take weeks before folks discover these fraudulent charges and report them. Unless, of course, NoBSZone only had 34 customers in their database? Another source reports that Mike G. rotates 3 different payment processors through this site. Does this mean he's got 102 customers? Again, I think not.
I do not believe that NoBSZone is the culprit in this scam, they're most likely a victim. However, I would fault Mike G. for choosing such a shady merchant processor. They've taken down their lookup form on custserviceco.com so now I can't lookup the transaction anymore. There's not a decent customer service contact method anywhere on their sites. The numerous alias domains makes me very suspecting of this providers intentions. I've found them using all these domains:
custserviceco.com
pay-cardbill.com
pay-charge.com
pay-comms.com
There are probably more and it's my opinion that this scam runs a lot deeper than the folks at NoBSZone are aware of. Maybe they've had the good sense to eliminate this particular processor.
