I received this today from a fellow Publisher, Clarissa Frampton of The Publishers Club and thought I would pass it on. Please do the same. Thanks.

There is a new twist to the PayPal scam emails we are all used to getting. The email now claims a large sum of money has been paid from your account and to verify this amount is correct to click on the link in the email.
Another version is to claim a large amount has been paid to your account. Please do not click the link within the email, open your browser and type in the correct address for PayPal and check your account.
Please pass this on to your readers so they can be aware of this new PayPal scam. These scammers are very creative and the emails all look authentic it is very easy for them to wipe you out very quickly!

I've downloaded Windows XP SP2 and so far no problems except on a couple of web sites not all the images came in. I don't know if that was because of SP2 or not. I have Windows XP Home Edition and use Firefox and Netscape for my browsers.
Just wanted everyone to know that there is a guide to help you. You can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4454e0e1-61fa-447a-bdcd-499f73a637d1&DisplayLang=en
<> Windows XP SP2 enables Windows Firewall on
all network connections by default. This new behavior can impair some
types of communications. This article describes how to deploy the
appropriate configuration settings for Windows Firewall on an
organization network so that it is enabled and providing protection,
and so that communications are not impaired.

Well...here we go again! Another scandal in Washington.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It just boggles my mind how sneaky and conniving people can be.
I just don't understand why people in government have to withhold information, lie, make bribes, etc. etc. Why can't people be honest? I was brought up that way, weren't you? I think it's very sad that people feel they have to resort to these kinds of tactics to get what they want instead of trying to get what they want in an honest, ethical way.
The way our elected and appointed officials go about doing things, in my humble opinion, sure sends the wrong messages to our young up and coming political leaders, wouldn't you agree? They are teaching them that it's okay to be a liar, that it's ok to be dishonest and it's ok to make bribes.
I abhor dishonesty and liars. Sometimes I wish we could just kick everyone out of Washington and start all over again with people that "really" care about the citizens of our country.
I was just thinking...have you ever seen the "Walking Tall" movie with Joe Don Baker? We need a Sherriff like him that will rid our government of all the greedy, dishonest, conniving liars that don't really care about anything but lining their pockets with our hard-earned money.
And while I'm on this soapbox, I'd like to know something.
Why should all of our elected and appointed officials get limos and high-priced motels, free travel, such high wages, etc. etc.? They work for "us"! "We" pay their salaries. I don't see why they need to live high on the hog just because they are now in office. They are "supposed" to be working to make things better for "we the people", not getting catered to like they are royalty. That's "our" money they're spending, and it's "our" money they use to keep giving themselves raises without a thought of who it hurts. I so wish that they could come live with some of us for one month to see how we struggle to survive.
I would dearly love it if one of our elected officials (ahem...maybe our "President"?) could live at my mom's house and live on her budget. Oh, and someone from the insurance company that refuses to "allow" her to have the back surgery she needs so badly. They should have to live there for a month also to see the pain they are forcing her to live with for the rest of her life. I don't understand how insurance companies can "practice medicine". Shouldn't that be illegal?
How do these people sleep at night? It's beyond me.
