Today's Insight From D Anthony's
Book, "The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once: Stories and Perspectives
to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential"
As stated in an earlier
post, from time to time my intent is to feature examples of the fresh
perspective and uncommon wisdom of some of the maxims and truisms from my
motivational and inspirational
book in this forum. I share
them in hopes that, like many of our readers, you will begin to utilize these
encouraging messages as affirmations – beginning to more actively challenge the
conventional thinking, be willing to change a paradigm or two and, as a result,
that you will begin to more advantageously live life… each day generating at
least a little more happiness and fulfillment for yourself and those you care
about.
Here is today's offering
from "The Nurse in the Delivery Room
Slapped Me… Once" to
ponder;
Stress is nothing less than this
life's express to the next. Whatever it takes, get off the train.

About A
Motivational & Inspirational Book: Playing With Passion
Excerpt
What if your life could be
considerably different? What if your life could be considerably happier and more
fulfilled? What if your life could be considerably more inspirational and
inspirational in nature? What if your life could have considerably more purpose,
direction, passion, enthusiasm, enjoyment, wonder, perspective and achievement?
More over, suppose your life was meant to be comprised of all these things.
Finally, suppose the means to becoming a more inspirational, motivational, happy
and fulfilled individual is primarily in your hands?
Would the knowledge that you have
it within your power to monumentally change your existence - change anything?
Would your outlook, perspective and day to day decisions continue to remain the
same? Could you possibly simply continue living life the same
way?
These are a few of the concepts
and associated questions presented for your consider in the uniquely and
unconventionally entertaining, challenging, uplifting, motivational and
inspirational book, “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once: Stories
and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential”, by D Anthony.
Here’s a excerpt straight from the pages of the inspiring book that is
compelling people to consider, believe in, seek, expect and strive for more out
of life… more purpose, happiness and fulfillment out of each and every day. From
the chapter entitled “Playing With Passion”;
Get In the
Game
Why is it that some people
virtually always seem to ride a wave of achievements and others do not? Why is
it that, some continuously migrate ever closer to fulfillment of their dreams
and others do not? Why is it that some regularly find and experience true and
meaningful happiness in their lives and countless others do not? Is the latter
group the equivalent of God's neglected stepchildren, undeserving of the
opportunities that, for select others, are as natural as the light of day? Not
likely.
Are the unfulfilled merely random
martyrs, eternally condemned, never to understand or appreciate the extent to
which they can, and do, control their destinies? Is their fate simply to mark
the passage of time in an uninspired existence, forever mired in the status quo?
That depends.
The Formula
Revealed
Suppose a surprisingly simple
winning formula for life actually exists. Suppose, much like a well-designed,
practiced, and executed game-plan in your sport of choice, one’s life can be
successfully scripted. And finally, suppose that once a game-plan has been
initiated, success invariably comes down to the quality and consistency of
choices made each day and the degree of the positive attitude incorporated to
sustain them.
It could convincingly be argued
that our present disposition in life has been most predominately defined by our
choices in the past and tomorrow's potential by our choices today. In other
words, the most crucial difference between those who possess success,
prosperity, and happiness and those who do not is the collective tenor of the
choices made, and whether an inspired attitude was, and continues to be,
maintained to properly nurture those choices. As a result, the degree of
individual success or failure we are destined to achieve, and the extent to
which we will be intimately familiar with true and lasting happiness, is
essentially up to each of us.
This perspective suggests our
ongoing results are derivative of how we respond to those events and
happenstances. It is the adoption and unconditional commitment to this mindset,
and associated behaviors that most uniquely distinguish the truly happy from the
unhappy, the successful from unsuccessful, the passionate from the discontented,
the leaders from the followers. When it's all said and done, each of our lives
truly is what we make of it.
To reap the greatest rewards, the
nature, tenor, and perceived criticality of day-to-day decisions and associated
behaviors must continuously be enhanced. In addition, ever-more-challenging and
wider-reaching perspectives must be embraced, perspectives that both govern and
elevate not only our decisions and attitudes but the very course of our lives.
Armed with this mindset, it becomes increasingly impossible not to believe
passionately in the power of your destiny. It becomes increasingly impossible
not to invest unwavering belief in, and commitment to, your dreams and
aspirations. It becomes impossible to believe that you can’t change the world.
With this psyche duly engaged,
time, especially that which remains will develop much greater significance.
Nurtured by passion, purpose will find more and more fertile ground and grow.
Once the roots of purpose begin to grow and the need for fulfillment finally
takes hold, a future not founded on purpose, a future not utilizing the precious
time we have remaining to the fullest, will cease to be, on any level,
acceptable. Then life can really begin.
Just imagine the limitless
potential of our greatest qualities enriched with a never-ending injection of
passion. Imagine the potential force of those qualities, those talents,
unchecked by fear of failure. Imagine an ever-expanding confidence in your
abilities, fortified and empowered by a healthy supply of internal praise and
anticipation for each and every looming triumph to come. Imagine having some
place you need to be, some place your heart, your mind, and your spirit
enthusiastically agree that it’s where you ought to, no, have to be. Then,
without concern for distance, undaunted by would-be-limiting doubt, you take a
deep breath and step.
If you are true to adopting this
mindset, taking that first step will be immensely gratifying. And it's that
empowering feeling that will inspire each new incremental step to come. Each
successive individual victory will mandate an ever-more committed you. Commit to
this mindset and greater purpose and personal fulfillment will be fostered.
Commit to this mindset, and your true intended destiny can be your
own.
It comes down to perspective and
choice. Will we crave personal growth and fulfillment enough to commit to this
simple yet empowering life-enriching perspective? Will we endeavor to
continuously enhance our perspective, to foster the best choices? Will we stand
and represent, or will we cower and defer? In the end, it all starts and ends
with the fundamental question: In the arena of life, will the essence of our
true destiny be merely that of a spectator or will we be stars in the
game?
Only time and our next steps will
tell.
Bottom line, the choice and
the opportunity is very much ours… each and every one of us. We don’t have to
simply accept life as it is. And because our time is both so precious and so
fleeting, perhaps a motivational and inspirational book that will give you the
insight and perspective to induce your very own transformation to the you you
never even knew you could be – is long over due.
Want a new perspective?
Want to learn to begin to empower yourself to, each day, consistently move in
the direction of a new and considerably improved you? Want to offer a friend or
loved one the kind of life-affirming catalyst that will help them begin to view
and live each day in a new and more purposeful way? Then take the time to check
out this spiritually-enriching book. “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me…
Once: Stories and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential” just
might be the perfect life-altering gift for you.
Each day, be inspired –
then aspire to more…

Why We
Sing
So, exactly what's the driving
force behind SomethingToShare.com and "The Nurse in the Delivery Room
Slapped
Me... Once:
Stories and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential")? Founded in
the depths of sorrow, SomethingToShare.com was created as the only possible
logical response to the completely illogical, unfair and unwarranted passing of
my mother. The loss of my mother was a harsh dose of reality - coupled with pain
and heartache the likes of nothing I'd ever known. Death had come into my life
and abruptly taken the person most important to me - and I hadn't been able to
do anything but helplessly watch, pray and cry.
For me, her passing was, by far,
the most horrific, excruciating and emotionally draining event that I had ever
experienced. And in the resulting disillusioned, angry and rebellious state of
mind that first week, I searched for answers... for a reason to go on... for
something to alleviate at least a small portion of the pain. What I didn't know
was that composing the program for my mother's funeral services would provide
that opportunity. It was when I compiled the following for the back of the
program that the stage was set for the healing to begin;
None of us knows the volume of
sand remaining in the hourglass of our lives... Now more than ever she teaches
us to appreciate time... Now more than ever she teaches us to appreciate the
people we spend it with... I urge you to seek out your loved ones, hug them, and
let them know how much you care. God Bless...
Eventually out of the sorrow grew
determination - determination to follow in her path so I would one day see her
again... determination to refocus my life... determination to remind others
about the value of each day... determination to make a difference in her name.
From there, a few friends lent
their perspectives, effort and a liberal helping of smiles (not to mention a few
cathartic tears) - and countless others have cared enough to share and, in so
doing, have become part of our extended SomethingToShare.com family. From there,
my first motivational and inspirational book, "The Nurse in the Delivery Room
Slapped Me... Once: Stories and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing
Potential" was born – along with STSTheBook.com, dedicated to showcasing the
book and other inspirational products.
The goal... Via a continuous
helping of motivational words, inspirational gifts, a little perspective,
possibly a tear or two, a few laughs and whatever else we can think of - we
endeavor to help motivate and inspire you to begin to make a difference in this
world... for you and the people around you. Further, we encourage you to make
the most of today - because when it's all said and done... tomorrow simply isn't
promised.
The concept and mission of
SomethingToShare, the motivational and inspirational book, the resulting
endeavors and most especially, absolutely any hint of positive impact and/or
inspired, uplifting and beneficial outcomes induced are dedicated to the memory
of a Rose, my mother - and her belief that no matter what this life brings, we
must count our blessings, strengthen our resolve, lean on our faith and go right
on living. Or as Mom would so succinctly put it… I used to cry because I had no
shoes, then I met a man with no feet.
So you are encouraged to open your
mind and your heart today and to remember us whenever you are in need of a
little inspiration. And above all know that if you touch just one life this day
and the next... The world will be a better place.
Each day, be inspired – then
aspire to more…

About A
Motivational & Inspirational Book: BookPleasures.com Book
Review
Here’s the second of three
installment of my Author’s Interview for “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped
Me… Once: Stories and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential” -
conducted by Norm Goldman,
Publisher and Editor of BookPleasures.com.
***
Norm:
Would you say that the publication
of The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped
Me…Once is the culmination of a life long dream? And as a follow up,
what motivated you to write the book?
D
Anthony:
Not so much the
culmination of a life long dream as a significant step in my perceived intended
purpose in life. I feel eternally blessed to have the passionate, inspired,
appreciative, ever-questioning and ever-striving perspective and attitude I
have. And I believe my mission is to pass that sense of hope, inspiration and
fortitude to anyone interested in living a better life – and getting more out of
each day. And that’s a big part of my motivation for writing the book and
everything else I’m working on. Inspiration is one of the most wonderful,
life-altering gifts we can possibly give to ourselves and our loved ones. And my
dream is that massive quantities of us come to realize that we, both
individually and collectively, actually have so much to
share.
Norm:
Where
did you get your information and ideas for The Nurse in
the Delivery Room Slapped Me…Once?
D
Anthony:
In a word –
life... The ironic thing is I am not a detail person. For some reason, detail
just isn’t what my brain has ever tended to prioritize, or these days even
maintain. To the contrary, the way I see the world, and the events that happen
around me, is through a conceptual filter of sorts. As a result, I will often
times recognize value in seemingly the most mundane of day to day events –
conceptually linking that event with otherwise completely unrelated events or
things experienced, seen or heard, perhaps many, many years prior, perhaps not
until some point in the future – to ultimately derive some, for me anyway…
fundamental truth. Of course, because I tend to see things through that
conceptual filter, I’m probably not your best source for good driving
directions…
Norm
How has your environment and/or
upbringing influenced your writing?
D
Anthony:
My
environment is, in part, the inspiration for my writing - as I tend to question,
consider, ponder the possibilities about and write about what I experience, hear
and see. My upbringing - now that’s the foundation. My sense of purpose,
commitment, diligence, perseverance, caring, faith and belief in self all, I
believe, were positively influenced by watching and learning from so many of the
individuals who had a hand in raising, caring for, teaching and interacting with
me during my formative years. I’m sure I could readily map most of the core
values expressed throughout the book to my mother, father, teachers, neighbors
and so many others. Ultimately, I guess I endeavor to repay each of them for
what they gave me by passing my message of inspiration, quality of life, purpose
and potential along.
Norm:
What, in your
opinion, are the most important elements of good writing and what tools do you
feel are must-haves for writers?
D
Anthony:
This
may be somewhat genre specific, but I think the best writing comes not only from
the mind – but from the heart. And it is real, honest and moving. I’ve been
fortunate enough to have readers tell me that the content in “The Nurse in the
Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once” is insightful, frank and honest. I’ve been told
the book is easily understood, concise and an easy read. I’ve been told that the
book can be challenging. I’ve been told each of the life stories takes the
reader on a journey. I’ve been told the book has been designated for use in
specifically reserved get away spots – with those respective reserved spots
including a lunchtime bench with birds singing in the background, during
extended bath-times with candles lit and specially for when seated on the
‘John’. I’ve heard of a husband and wife that were reading the book separately,
and discussing the individual life stories and the relevance to their lives,
over breakfast each morning. I’d like to believe these all, collectively, offer
evidence on behalf of elements of good writing in the
book.
Norm:
How do
you measure success?
D
Anthony:
Have
my efforts helped to facilitate positive impact in people’s lives? Are readers
being effectively challenged to begin to question more, dream more and see
differently? Am I actually helping the world to be a better place? Stuff like
that…

About A
Motivational & Inspirational Book: The Gift of
Inspiration
Here’s a thought… Now that all
your Christmas shopping is all wrapped up (or more accurately unwrapped), the
Yuletide spirit is beginning to wane and most houseguests have made their
respective ways in the direction of home – perhaps it’s time you do something
special for you… a bit of a reward, of sorts, for all the generosity and
goodwill you’ve shown.
Alternately, perhaps there is an
individual or two who, through noteworthy sentiment or deed, exhibited the kind
of unadulterated spirit of the season that warmed the heart and made this
holiday season so memorable and spiritually fulfilling. Imagine the feelings of
joy and appreciation that would result from the unexpected presentation of a
token of your heartfelt gratitude.
If either scenario rings true or
otherwise sounds like a worthwhile objective, then perhaps you should consider
giving one of the best gifts of all… the gift of inspiration. For it is the gift
that offers incremental benefit, each and every day... For example, if the
chosen gift was an inspirational book with motivational stories and
inspirational poems such as “The
Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once: Stories and Perspectives to Help
You Unlock Your Amazing Potential”, a loved one or yourself could read a new
passage or two daily… taking the time to fully absorb each passage for all it is
worth… taking the time to let the perspective take you wherever, on that day,
your mind and heart needed to go. Or, if your preference is for something of a
more presentational manner, something to be proudly displayed and admired every
day, the SomethingToShare
Inspirational Plaques might be worth a look.
So, as the so-called season for
giving begins to wane, consider presenting yourself and/or a loved one with the
optimal gift - the gift of inspiration. After all, it is the gift that will keep
giving. And there’s absolutely no better way to create the positive momentum
necessary to give 2008 the early makings of a great year.
Happy New Year to you and yours!

Inspirational Book by D
Anthony
Motivational
& Inspirational Stories: Feed the Bear
Recently I found myself
endeavoring to better understand the actions of a couple co-workers (from my
'day job'). Although slightly different in their approaches, they shared some
rather obvious characteristics – seemingly very much foreign to me. It was easy
to see that both were very much rooted a 'me first' mentality – each willing to
do whatever was needed to ensure they looked good to management, each, whenever
perceived necessary, just as willing, seasoned and comfortable with backstabbing
and discrediting undeserving innocents along the way. As I rounded out my quick
comparison of the two, it further occurred to me that they also shared a
seemingly less than ingenuous inherent concern that the task at hand, or
initiative itself, be either successfully executed or flawless in effort.
Instead, their apparent concerns were only that their associated decisions and
actions be perceived that way… that whenever the proverbial lights were on,
management inferred their efforts as the most results-based and commanding. It
wasn't about the quality of the mission so much as their relative position in
comparison to other employees, when the 'cameras were
rolling'.
Having seen the results of
their predatory traits numerous times before… having witnessed the easily
discernable drop off of concern and diligence once anyone immediately capable of
boosting their respective careers were no longer in earshot – on this particular
day I found myself wondering.
Regretfully, it occurred to
me that these two individuals, by no means, had the market cornered in this
arena – and this most definitely was not merely a corporate thing. The
unfortunate truth is on a daily basis, in everyday life, the results of this 'Me
First' mentality can be readily found. For instance coming out of the market one
day, there was a middle-aged gentleman who obviously had the job of collecting
the carts from the parking lot. Part of the job, no doubt, was to clean the
assorted debris out of the carts before returning them to the store – as I
witnessed him diligently retrieving the loose scraps left behind by departed
store customers. What I found astonishing was that every loose piece of trash
from the carts he retrieved, in a non-accidental manner, ended up in a new
resting place - littered across the parking grounds. Apparently, keeping the
store's parking area free of debris wasn't listed in his job description…
apparently, neither was consideration for whoever would eventually be tasked
with cleaning up the parking area or any negative customer impressions and/or
impacts until clean-up time arrived.
What was the mindset that
provoked each of these people, and so many others, to live mired in such a
self-absorbed fashion… and such a self-serving way? What was the thinking… the
psychological wiring… that allowed some to be so concerned with only self –
while caring little about things such meaningful concepts like the bigger
picture, content of character, quality of work, legitimacy of effort - and
simply not being the type that, for personal interests, has a propensity to
willingly throw someone else under the bus?
It was at that point that I
recalled a scene from a movie – originally derived, I believe, from an old joke…
Two friends are in the wilderness, upon which they both notice a bear coming
towards them. One of the men immediately begins to feverishly work to get his
sneakers securely on his feet. The second man asks - "What are you doing… do you
really think you can outrun a bear?" The first man looks up at his friend and
responds – "I don't have to outrun the bear… only you."
Perhaps, I considered,
there are simply two types of people in this world… those who live their lives
like the first friend in the joke – and those who do not… those who could
readily sacrifice a stranger or a friend if the ends had the potential to be
personally advantageous – and those who simply weren't wired that way. Then, I
reconsidered; perhaps it's a little more complicated, and a little less black
and white, than that. Perhaps we all have the capacity to and do, from time to
time, on at least some level, make self-centered statements and decisions –
and/or behave in a manner that would suggest the outcome as it effects others is
meaningless or irrelevant.
And perhaps, in the end,
being a truly happy and fulfilled being is about striving to minimize the
instances where we allow ourselves, regardless of the place or circumstances, to
stoop to that level… striving instead to accomplish, persevere and achieve in a
manner that doesn't require sacrificing another. For when we willingly sacrifice
others for our own gain, in reality it is our own content of character that
takes the biggest hit of all.
So, feed the bear… if you
must. Just endeavor to find an approach that doesn't require you to serve up
yourself or a friend – and, for that matter, any innocent bystanders. Because
everything in life is much sweeter, and true happiness and fulfillment is only
attainable when your content of character remains in tact.

writing component of my humble existence. After creating, administering and

be in the form of a nugget of wisdom intended to help you to increase awareness,
challenge the status quo and/or widely assumed constraints, consider your power
to change, slow down sometimes to appreciate the wonder of the ride and scenery,
strive for purpose and seek your intended destiny – and/or to continuously
migrate in the direction of whatever brings you happiness and fulfillment. And
sometimes the message might be simply a reminder that obtaining the things we
truly desire is often times a factor of the extent to which we are willing to
play nice and sometimes share the things we've got.
We will discuss the power
of inspiration, passion, motivation, individuality and believing in self. We
will discuss the value of time. Inspirational, motivational and generally
positively intentioned thoughts, acts, people, websites, stories, poems, quotes
and influences will be highlighted. Beneficial elements of my inspirational and
motivational book, "The

Inspirational Book
The inspirational book "The Nurse in the Delivery
Room Slapped Me...Once" is beginning to be seen as a powerful medium where
D Anthony, noted inspirational and motivation author, conveys his knowledge and
expertise into the art of living well. His experiences have led him into
the incredible life journey as only set backs and disappointments can do.
STSTheBook.com is making page two on Google for inspirational book at this
time. This is clear evidence that the search engines see this valuable
information to readers of inspirational material. Here is an excerpt from
the home page of STSTheBook.com
"This is a book of potential, faith, purpose, hopes and dreams.
This is a book about the importance of time, the power of choice, growth,
toughening up and having a heart, commitment, passion, and inspiration. This is
a book that considers the ups and downs, life, and death – and what it all
means. More than anything however, this is a book that considers a journey’s
impact, a life-long quest for meaning, happiness and fulfillment, and the
resulting stories, perspectives, and lessons that I have collected along the
way.
As it turns out, somehow in the midst of years of just trying to
survive the excruciating heartache, disheartenment and sorrow that come with
having someone you love with all your heart taken away. Life began to take on a
whole new meaning for me. I realized that life is fleeting. I realized that
whether we utilize our time wisely, whether we believe in ourselves, whether we
challenge our fears, whether we endeavor to reach for our dreams and
aspirations, whether we strive to make a difference - one thing is certain: the
sand will continue to fall through the hourglass, and one day will soon become
the next.
So, in the time we have here, why wouldn’t we choose to spend that
time purposefully, striving for that which matters? Why wouldn’t we want to live
our lives dedicated to experiencing every bit of true happiness and fulfillment
we could possibly acquire?
Perhaps you doubt that “true happiness and fulfillment” really
exist, having long ago accepted these concepts as trumped-up illusions treasured
only by people not living in the real world. A story comes to mind. Years ago,
in passing, I asked a young boy how he was. He answered that he was doing “good”
because he didn’t have to go to school that day, continuing that he didn’t like
school and wished he were done. I asked him whether he realized the importance
of school, adding that if he got good grades he could be anything he wanted to
be. I asked if he could be anything, what he would choose. He responded, “You
mean like a bus driver?”
Don’t get me wrong, a bus driver is a perfectly honorable and
respectable profession. I think the boy was working with a very limited
perspective about his universe of options. His thought process wasn’t
along the lines of: not interested in becoming a CEO, judge, doctor,
astronaut, or a governor… I think I want to be a bus driver. He simply
wasn’t aware he had so many other options. Sound familiar?
Perhaps your perspective is, after years of trying, that true
happiness and fulfillment just isn’t within you. Since I have a hard time
believing that the Almighty indiscriminately gifted some of us with a
magnificent, destiny-defining spark, and did not gift countless others, my
suspicion is that we all have the potential within us. It’s just a matter, for
some, of unlocking the door so that the potential can be released.
I’d like to think that, so many years ago, having presented that
young boy with a more opportunistic outlook and additional career options, that
he went on to improve his life. I’d also like to think that the stories and
perspectives in this book will help unlock your amazing new potential and very
own unique and winning mindset.
Make no mistake about it, we are all interconnected and most
everything has purpose. What I do today has impact on your tomorrow. And what
you do tomorrow has impact on others and me the following day—for good or bad.
My mother was called home yesterday. Today I wrote, and you’re
reading, this book. And if your heart and mind are open, if you possess a
willingness to consider, embrace and incorporate – then happiness and
fulfillment can be yours and we can all look forward to a brighter
tomorrow."

Get In the
Game
Why is it that some people virtually always seem to ride a wave
of achievements and others do not? Why is it that, some continuously migrate
ever closer to fulfillment of their dreams and others do not? Why is it that
some regularly find and experience true and meaningful happiness in their lives
and countless others do not? Is the latter group the equivalent of God's
neglected stepchildren, undeserving of the opportunities that, for select
others, are as natural as the light of day? Not likely.
Are the unfulfilled merely random martyrs, eternally condemned,
never to understand or appreciate the extent to which they can, and do, control
their destinies? Is their fate simply to mark the passage of time in an
uninspired existence, forever mired in the status quo? That depends.
The Formula Revealed Suppose a surprisingly simple
winning formula for life actually exists. Suppose, much like a well-designed,
practiced, and executed game-plan in your sport of choice, one's life can be
successfully scripted. And finally, suppose that once a game-plan has been
initiated, success invariably comes down to the quality and consistency of
choices made each day and the degree of the positive attitude incorporated to
sustain them.
It could convincingly be argued that our present disposition in
life has been most predominately defined by our choices in the past and
tomorrow's potential by our choices today. In other words, the most crucial
difference between those who possess success, prosperity, and happiness and
those who do not is the collective tenor of the choices made, and whether an
inspired attitude was, and continues to be, maintained to properly nurture those
choices. As a result, the degree of individual success or failure we are
destined to achieve, and the extent to which we will be intimately familiar with
true and lasting happiness, is essentially up to each of us.
This perspective suggests our ongoing results are derivative of
how we respond to those events and happenstances. It is the adoption and
unconditional commitment to this mindset, and associated behaviors that most
uniquely distinguish the truly happy from the unhappy, the successful from
unsuccessful, the passionate from the discontented, the leaders from the
followers. When it's all said and done, each of our lives truly is what we make
of it.
To reap the greatest rewards, the nature, tenor, and perceived
criticality of day-to-day decisions and associated behaviors must continuously
be enhanced. In addition, ever-more-challenging and wider-reaching perspectives
must be embraced, perspectives that both govern and elevate not only our
decisions and attitudes but the very course of our lives. Armed with this
mindset, it becomes increasingly impossible not to believe passionately in the
power of your destiny. It becomes increasingly impossible not to invest
unwavering belief in, and commitment to, your dreams and aspirations. It becomes
impossible to believe that you can't change the world.
With this psyche duly engaged, time, especially that which
remains will develop much greater significance. Nurtured by passion, purpose
will find more and more fertile ground and grow. Once the roots of purpose begin
to grow and the need for fulfillment finally takes hold, a future not founded on
purpose, a future not utilizing the precious time we have remaining to the
fullest, will cease to be, on any level, acceptable. Then life can really
begin.
Just imagine the limitless potential of our greatest qualities
enriched with a never-ending injection of passion. Imagine the potential force
of those qualities, those talents, unchecked by fear of failure. Imagine an
ever-expanding confidence in your abilities, fortified and empowered by a
healthy supply of internal praise and anticipation for each and every looming
triumph to come. Imagine having some place you need to be, some place your
heart, your mind, and your spirit enthusiastically agree that it's where you
ought to, no, have to be. Then, without concern for distance, undaunted
by would-be-limiting doubt, you take a deep breath and step.
If you are true to adopting this mindset, taking that first
step will be immensely gratifying. And it's that empowering feeling that will
inspire each new incremental step to come. Each successive individual victory
will mandate an ever-more committed you. Commit to this mindset and greater
purpose and personal fulfillment will be fostered. Commit to this mindset, and
your true intended destiny can be your own.
It comes down to perspective and choice. Will we crave personal
growth and fulfillment enough to commit to this simple yet empowering
life-enriching perspective? Will we endeavor to continuously enhance our
perspective, to foster the best choices? Will we stand and represent, or will we
cower and defer? In the end, it all starts and ends with the fundamental
question: In the arena of life, will the essence of our true destiny be merely
that of a spectator or will we be stars in the game?
Only time and our next steps will tell.
