Hello!

I hope your last few weeks have been very good to you!

It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything. I've been so busy.
I've started a flower and vegetable container garden. The Landlady
here gave us a large spot and let us build a fence and we're going to
build a deck too! She's so nice to allow us to do that for the dogs
and for ourselves. I've hung a really neat hummingbird feeder up,
now if they'll just come! Some of the plants attract butterflys too.
I'll be adding a bird feeder for Finches and a birdbath. It's going
to be pretty. I wish I could post some new pictures, but my webcam
isn't working as a camera anymore. :(

I've also been very busy learning about Quikonnex so I don't have
to deal with email anymore. It's wonderful, you've got to check us
out! :)

Plus, I've been spending quite a few hours getting two different viruses
off of my system. Then I downloaded and installed two new programs
that are supposed to protect my system, but all they did was really mess
it up, so I had to uninstall them and get my money back. Arrrggghhh!!
My system is 3 years old now, and out of warranty, so now I suppose it
is going to start having problems.

<<>>

Sadly to say, email has become a dangerously risky way for Publishers
and e-Marketers to communicate anymore. We have to find alternatives
to get our newsletters and eZines to you without the fear of being accused
of SP*AM. Email will always be around, don't get me wrong, but
legitimate Publishers & Marketers will find better ways to get their news
to you.

I won't be using email to send out newsletters. I've switched over to the
Quikonnex way of publishing and my hopes are that you'll follow me.
You'll need to get a newsreader (just as you need an email program to
read your email) in order to see Quikonnex. I recommend getting
QuikView, it's a wonderful sidebar addition to your browser that is a
channel viewer and a bookmark manager and is fully customizeable!
Please check it out, you won't regret it. I use it daily and I think it's
fantabulous! http://snipurl.com/kgqkvw

Quikonnex is fr^ee to members and a small monthly fee for Publishers.
Join today as a Member, take a looksee and maybe you'll decide to
become a Publisher too!

Here's an article posted in Bobbette Madonna's LOGONnewZine
regarding the FTC and SP*AM...
http://www.quikonnex.com/channel/item/2509/222

Please click on one of the banners or the link below and this will
take you to my main page where you can learn all about Quikonnex,
the revolutionary email alternative!

http://quikonnex.com/kgmain

There is an excellent eBook by Bobbette Madonna that explains my
decision. You can have it at no cost to you. Please get it here:

http://logonnewzine/ebooks/ebook-sub.html

Quikonnex is just fantastic and so are the people behind it! C'mon in
and see for yourself how great the Quikonnex Community is.

To see my eZine within Quikonnex, here's where to go:

http://quikonnex.com/channel/category/449/id/135

<<>><<>><<>><<>>

So there it is in a nutshell. Please give Quikonnex and QuickView a
chance. I know change is hard and sometimes scary, but sometimes it's
for the better. Believe me, I hate change as much as the next person, but
once I decide to *just do it*, LOL, I more often than not, don't regret it.
Don't be afraid, go check it out and then let me know what you think.
Send me a Q message through my private QMTP messenger:
http://snipurl.com/kgqme

Ask questions, I'll do my very best, but if I can't answer them, I'll find
you someone who can. Fair enough? Ok, now, get going!!

Also, if you want to be notified by a sound or a balloon on your desktop
when something is added or changed in your favorite eZines then get
Awasu.

Awasu, similar to QuikView, is a newsreader that sits in your system tray
and announces to you when something has been added or changed in your
favorite sites or newsletters/ezines. Check it out here:
http://www.awasu.com

<<>><<>><<>><<>>

Until next time,

Health, Happiness & Prosperity to you and yours,

I've Got The CD-R/RW Blues...

Friday, March 26, 2004
These last two days have been...well, let's say this: I've had better days!

Irritation # 1: My CD-RW drive insists there is no CD in the drive when I know there is. I don't know if it's because the blank discs I bought were so inexpensive or what. I've written to them before, so I don't understand why the drive says there's no disc in it. Hmmm.

Irritation # 2: I've been on the phone all morning today trying to get a certified internet satellite installer to come and hook up my DirecWay internet satellite. First DirecWay told me I had to have a "certified install technician" for DirecWay equipment because they need to enter an ID number when setting up the software. Today they told me that my husband can do everything except the actual setting up the software and that any technician could set up the software and didn't have to have an ID number. ???? sheesh. The software is already setup, we just need to get it installed on the outside and then correct the software settngs to this area. So what was going to cost around $200 is now down to around $51.50. Yayyy! So this irritation turned into a 'positive' ! <smile>.

So how has your last couple of days been? LOL. Hopefully smoother than mine.

It is very stormy here today, windy and raining. Bad enough that the dogs don't want to stay outside, so that's pretty bad. Bear usually wants to stay out all day!

I'm ecstatic!! Daylight savings time begins the 4th of April!!
I can't wait!! I wish the powers-that-be would adopt it all year around. So be sure to mark it on your calendars if you get Daylight Savings Time in your area. Set your clocks ahead 1 hour when you go to bed on the 3rd.

Sophie Oooh, the sun peeked out for a minute, haha. I'd better let the dogs out while I can.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Reflection

Wednesday, March 24, 2004

http://www.quikonnex.com/channel/page/gschloff I was watching The Wayne Brady show this morning and he had Dr. Wayne Dyer on. I was halfway listening to him when I heard him say:

"We are not humans having a spiritual experience,
we are spiritual beings having a human experience"

I sat here taking that in for a minute or two and thought: Wow, he's right and so profound. What a neat thought. It made me feel like I am having a journey on my way to the next plane.

It makes me feel more positive about life. I will enjoy and appreciate things more in this journey called "Human Experience".

For those of you that didn't know, the FCC has ruled that it's *ok* to say a certain really nasty word on television.

I've signed a petition and I hope you will too. Here's what I received in my inbox this morning:

Grassfire delivers your FCC petition to Sen. Sessions

1/26/04
Dear Glenda,
Since the FCC ruled the F-word was acceptable use on television,
Grassfire has been hard rallying citizens and our elected officials
to stand against this decision.
Thanks to you, it's working!
Just two weeks ago, FCC Chairman, Michael Powell, urged his
commissioners to change their mind about the decision in
question (file no. EB-03-IH-0110, 10/10/03).
There is no doubt organizations like Grassfire have made an impact
on him, and he’s feeling the heat.
That's why we are turning up the heat.....
130,000 FCC Petitions Delivered to Sen. Jeff Sessions
Just last week, Grassfire representatives delivered your petition and
more than 130,000 others to Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) who has introduced
S.R. 283--urging the FCC to reverse their decision on television
indecency.
