New Truck, New Trip and meeting the British Bulldog

Sunday, September 05, 2004

Well this was the shakedown cruise for the new Volvo. I had to turn the old one in as it was going up for sale and after two days of transfering my personal belongings over it was time to take the new unit on it's maiden voyage. Well accept for a few problems (fuel guage sending unit has a mind of it's own and the drivers side windshield wiper suspension broke) and a lot of readjustments (trying to get all my belongings to fit and ride in the new environment, cause you know the new vehicle is never layed out the same as the old one)It's going fairly well.....

If you have ever thought of publishing your own Ezine

Saturday, July 24, 2004

In your time on this planet you've managed to amass a wealth of information that you have used to help you in your daily life or with your career and now you feel it's time to share that knowledge with others. Then maybe it's things you've heard or seen from others that you have a slightly different perspective on and you would really like others to hear your thoughts.

You now look for a platform with which to spread your words and as this is your first effort in this direction the first place you look is e-mail and creating your own ezine. The ezine part of the equation is realitively simple you put together a content based template then using that template you enter content and voila you have anezine ready to be sent out to subscribers......

This time the load Lois and I delivered took us through the beautiful Okanagan Valley countryside in Super-natural British Columbia. The heart of the western fruit growing region of Canada.

Our eyes were drawn to a fruit stand on our way down the valley so we new we would have to stop in on the way back up. Located just six kilometers north of Armstrong, BC (Known for it's cheese) this is what we found......

A new car for Lois

Friday, June 18, 2004

My wife hates driving in city traffic and lately we have been thinking of a new vehicle for her. We wanted one with a decent cargo capacity and as always built with safety in mind. I'm leaning towards this tandem axle dually pickup truck... What do you think... Am I pushing the envelope a little to hard...?

Monday, June 14, 2004

Lois and I were sitting in the restaurant of the Husky Truck Stop in Regina, Saskatchewan when a gentleman, his wife and son sat down at the table next to us. The gentlemans name is Bill Steeves and he had lovingly restored a 1953 Autocar.
