Kuumba (koo-OOM-ba) (Creativity)
To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
Doing as much as you can. Today's podcast for Kwanzaa is just that. And what is the most obvious symbol of doing as much as you can for 2007? You've seen the movies.. yep.. "007" is back and this will be the best year ever for that major symbol of creativity. It's even kinda spooky like. A year to say "007" is very rare. Today's podcast is going over the third day of Kwanzaa called Ujima (oo-Gee-mah) easier for me to pronounce this time.. lol.. which means Collective Work and Responsibility reminds us of our obligation to the past, present and future of the roles we play.
Many believe that their responsibility to the community is tithing. But remember when it comes to giving, you need to answer the who, what, when, where, how, and why.
Remember Winston Churchill stated that, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give".

Hello.. Been looking over Kwanzaa today with the seven guiding principles for each day after Christmas til the New Year.
Yesterday, I was with my family and they are still here or leaving today. So the first day of Kwanzaa is Umoja (oo-MO-jah) meaning unity with your family, friends, and community. Pretty easy considering it's the day after Christmas and family togetherness is still strong in the household. Playing board games together with the kids, visiting, traveling, watch classic movies together, and more.
Today's podcast is going over the second day Kujichagulia (koo-gee-cha-goo-LEE-yah) Self-Determination.

On "thesecret.tv" website, there are some additional materials to help you discover your true self and change the way you think. Some items I thought was very interesting, is what they call "gratitude rocks" You suppose to carry it everywhere you go, and each time you touch it think of something you are grateful for. Working it out for the new week setting goals and values. What are my values? Why is this important? Today's podcast is Part 2 of cast from "thesecret.tv" featured on CNN and words from John Demartini.
JOHN DEMARTINI, FOUNDER, DEMARTINI FOUNDATION: Not only is it doable but we do it every day because what happens is the quality of our life is based on the quality of the questions we ask and it's not what happens to us on the outside. It's how we ask questions and filter it and perceive it on the inside.

Going over some of the topics discussed on CNN "The Larry King Show" the cast of "TheSecret.tv"
So as I’m watching this show over and over again, I have to.. I have to do this to program in my mind. Just like the Brady Bunch analogy. Everyone knows the lyrics to the Brady Bunch theme song. We didn’t have to write down the words or read the lyrics to memorize it, because since we watch it sooo much, we just know the song. So this is what we have to do with our lives and our goals. We have to move from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind.
