When you work at home it is important to organise your home office to suit your lifestyle. One of the things that I found most annoying would be loosing my pens! Maybe you can relate to this? When you get that phone call having a pen hand is essential and of course the kids always know they can find a pen on mum's desk! Grrrr

This article was perfect. As I started my day today it was all about organizing, and thinking thru reorganizing my workload and schedule. I turned on my computer, logged into DV and voila!
Here is your posting! Everything you say makes sense and is very important to think thru ... again and again...
It helped me. For one thing since I do run a home based business, I'm isolated from an 'office' situation with discussions, HR, resources and tools that support individuals being as productive as possible.
Also you pointed out several situations that come up particular to homebased biz folks. I needed to remember that and I needed to remember to make organizing - a priority!
I really liked your suggestion to take a 1/2 day or even a whole day to do those tasks we avoid!
Right now i have the excuse of fumbling around in my disarray when I'm really only procrastinating!
