Why Water is a Key to Your Healthy Weight Loss Plan

Haven’t you heard that everyone needs to drink about 2 quarts of water a day? Me too! But UGH .. just WATER, not pop, coffee or other sweet drinks like I’d been raised on (shall we name names)? To lose weight and stay healthy depends on your drinking pure clean water. Look for good water filters and treat your body like the fine machine it is meant to be.
Now don't roll your eyes at me! The magic potion for releasing that excess body fat is all around you. It's water and it covers two thirds of the planet. When we eat right and exercise at the intensity, frequency and duration proper for us, but still can't get rid of those last pesky pounds, you and I are probably just not drinking enough water. No need to get defensive. This is for all of us actually quite normal. Most people don't drink enough water and they don't even know it. Often people actualy eat when what they are is thirsty. Pop and mik only makes it worse. We need good pure water.Think your hungry, stop, drink a glass of pure water first. Wait 15 minutes and if you are still hungry then eat something that in good for you AND that you like. We feed the mind as well.
Most of all people are carrying a few more pounds than we would be if we all did drink enough water. If you find you can't seem to get that last bit of weight off, try drowning your sorrows in nature's magical weight-loss mineral. WATER! It works, and here's why:
What is our metabolism, anyway? We all use this term all the time, but ask anyone to define what it means and you'll get all kinds of vague answers. Merriam Webster defines it as, "The process by which a substance is handled in the body." Even that is a little vague, but in all honesty that is really all it means. There are many forms of metabolism going on in your body right now, but the one everyone is talking about it the metabolism of fat. We all need some fat so I'm not suggesting in any way that you cut fat from your food plan. Just learn what are the healthy fats and what to avoid.
One thing I learned as I really started caring about my body that water intake had a strong affect on how I felt. My strength improved, becoming more limber and flexible, weight in proportion to my age, height, etc., that I really did need water. The number of headaches as well as general aches and pains decreased as well.
We all need lots of good fresh Pure Water. To naturaly loss weight and gain health, go hand in hand.
As I found ways to increase my Pure Water intake, like caring my always present water bottle … not the kind you buy and toss from the store …. Those are an ecology night mare. I use an easy to clean Environmentally Friendly water bottle … see your local Food Co-op or Camping/Sport Store for some great ideas.
Some of my favorite tricks: I use a one quart bottle so it is easy to keep track of. Often I add about 1 cup of pure juice (no sugar added). At first I added sugar, then went to a sweetener and finally got serious when I knew that I was worth it and went either to a Pure Water or Water mixed with pure juice. I also love to add a bit of lemon (called Lemonada when I'm in Mexico) or some days, it’s just a few drops of Rescue Remedy. Another rule I made that helps, is I sip that one quart before eating any food in the morning. Good time for journaling, reading and good quiet time before the day gets going. For you on the road ... learn to take it with you.
My grandma always told me, drink more water and NO pop today. Always she pushed water, guess grandma knew something I didn’t know at the time. We know several things now. One drinking lots of water helps to flush the system and flush the toxins from your body. As you develop a healthy weight loss plan, water needs to be a big part of that. Also did you know, that researchers have discovered that often when people reach for food, we are actually thirsty. So tip that glass of water first, and then if you are still hungry have something to eat. That one change alone will take pounds off of someone each year.

Love your body, and feed your mind. Improve your social relations, and allow for more warmth and love between the people closest to you. Exercise is a coping skill.
Recover old friendships, or make new true friendships to feed that part of your mind. Having good support systems from family and friends is a coping skill.
Challenge yourself once in a while. Seek a meaningful job to obtain a sense of self-worth and confidence. A career that motivates you emotionally to get excited in the morning is a coping skill. However, if the job you have is not necessarily of your top career preferences, or even is flat out something you don't like, you can still deal with it. In every job there can be respect found in it by doing your best and treating those you work around with warmth. Learn to love yourself. Satisfaction in a career must come from yourself and not others.
Surround yourself with beauty. Redecorate your house or garden. Do some spring cleaning. Put on some happy music. Do whatever helps you feel relaxed and at peace. Practice whatever form of spiritualism that appeals to you. This is a life coping skill and will help you recognize beauty.
As long as you fill your mind with your personal 'mental foods,' you will experience less boredom and inner conflict. Boredom and marital conflict are often symptoms of mental starvation (or misunderstanding).
Be sure to identify any issues you have such as anxiety, panic attacks or other disorders. Identify these and acknowledge that you have them. Only from there can you move on and seek treatment to improve your mental health
Tips
Practice the five coping skills. They are a career (not necessarily your present job), positive support systems, exercise and health, a hobby, and spiritualism.
Anger is a secondary emotion. If you are angry about something, there is an underlying primary reason for the anger. That is the emotion that needs to be handled with the five coping skills.
Use a journal to process emotions that are not pleasant such as sadness, emptiness, feelings of abandonment. This is good exercise before going to sleep.
Don't let any of the coping skills become addictive or controling. For example, hobbies are good but if you play golf all the time at the expense of important time, it is no longer a coping skill.
Stay away from a states of "vegetation" or defensiveness. Use the coping skills. If you are in any state other than practicing the coping skills, you are not in good mental health.
Try to think before you speak in order to say only positive or harmless words.
When our emotional and mental self is strong and in balance it makes it much easier to stick to a solid change in our lives; of embracing health and Natural Weight Loss.

I don't know about you but I find it so easy to fool myself as to what I’ve eaten or had to drink in any given day. Also how I felt, why I ate, what was happening, who was arround me, etc. Do YOU? Our lives are often busy and unconscious eating is a normal thing that those with weight issues do. Lifelong habits have been built since being a small child or start after a traumatic event in our lives. But eating is such a normal task that it slips into the back ground of memory so with weight loss as a health goal it is a must to keep a Food Journal for quite some time. Perhaps not forever but until you reach your personal goals for weight, health and .
Keeping a Food and Personal Journal:
I sugggest you have a family agreement that your journal is private. That way you can be honest with what you jot down. A journal is one of the natural weight loss secrets. Daily journaling allows one of the most important aspects of weight loss. Your personal journals allow you to keep a detailed record and track everything you put into your mouth.
But it is much more than that, it assists you in self discovery of why you eat, what emotions you are feeling, any saboteurs in your life, your weak link areas and to gain an immediate consciousness of your eating habits. Your food journal will keep track of how many meals you eat every day, the size of your meals and when each meal is consumed. Are you a late night eater? How about a afternoon binge eater? Your food journal will provide a wealth of information to learn from. That information is the foundation you will be working from. We can’t fix what we are unaware of and being told, ‘just eat less’ is not a working plan, you and I both know that.

Eat Less - Eat More Often = Weight Loss
Surprise - Eat More Small Meals for Weight Loss. Yes it’s true. Healthy snacking or if you prefer to call them ‘small meals’ will make it easier to lose weight. The servings that are being dished out in Fast Food and Junk Food Road Stops and Restaurants is astounding. I took my family when they visited unexpectedly to a nice Italian Restaurant a few weeks ago. We got to visiting and I forgot to warn them of the size of the portions this Restaurant served. When our waitress came, all of us just looked stunned. Each of us had ordered a meal and each meal could easily feed 2 or even 3 people. Needless to say, we had leftovers for a very long time.
That is the way it is now days. Over sizing meals has become the norm. And obviously it relates to higher calorie intake, often including fats and sugars. In our country people are dying of obesity or illness brought on by being overweight; where in other countries people are dying of starvation. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
One way for you to be successful with weight loss is to gradually start reducing the portions of the meals and increasing how often you eat. I like using a small salad plate to eat my meals and then I got these small bowls, I think they would be called ‘custard’ bowls. That way my plate doesn’t look empty when I’m eating. Another helping tip is to use a measuring cup to measure. Just what does ½ cup look like anyway?

If you are reading this article then you are probably part of a large group of good people who have one thing in common: the challenges ow wanting to win at the game of natural weight loss and good healthy habits. It helps to find a support group for ideas, a helping hand on a hard day and friends to celebrate with as you succeed. There are groups online and in almost every city small or large.
Google Search for natural weight loss tips has a wealth of information as well.
You will find resources for recipes, meal plans, tips and tools. We also have on-line learning centers, Community Forums for asking questions and support discussions which includes a message board and lots of success stories for support. To top of a good thing there are an abundance of excellent articles that will help you along your path. You are not alone!
Many issues can be discussed such as the challenge of overcoming weight loss plateaus. Sometime we can successfully change our eating habits, do some exercise and make progress for several weeks, or even a few months. Then all of a sudden the weight loss stops. That is called a plateau and it is totally normal although very frustrating.
Loosing weight is never just plain easy but when hitting a plateau it is important it is just a natural step along the way. So when the scale just won’t budge, don’t give up! Eating on the Run – A Disaster Plan

Is Your Car Your Dinning Area?
In the past, as a working mother I often felt that I ate more meals and snacks in my car than at home. At that time admittedly I was not too concerned on the choices I made. Fast foods, junk snack food, 6 pack of pop and coffee in a box behind the passenger seat, just within easy reach. Then all too often a quick stop at the grocery store for a deli dinner for the family while I rushed home to get ready to run out again for the soccer game. Sound all too familiar?

First, yes the box of foods and drinks is still in my car behind the passenger’s seat BUT what is in it is very different. For me, tasty but really healthy snacks fill my car box and desk at work. My "By The Inch Weight Loss Plan"
Honestly, I'm still having difficulty with an exercise program, but I'm working on a plan to solve that delimma. While I wait for all the pieces of that puzzle to fall into place I have a new weight loss plan in the works that I believe holds great promise.
