Why is hand washing so important anyway? My great grandmother used to say “you’ll eat a peck of dirt before you die” which I took to mean, relax and don’t become phobic about the kids getting dirty. Yet before every meal, it was “have you washed your hands yet"?

We have all heard of the Climate changes we see on TV documentaries and news shows. Going Green is getting to be the IN THING but is what we are doing enough and fast enough to make the necessary changes.
The steps we are taking means the quality of life our grandchildren and even their children will have. Let each of us live more sustainably. Today is the best day to get started or recommitted.
There are so many ideas we can share with friends and neighbors on making changes in our lives, simple changes that really do make a difference in this world we share. Do not try to do them all in one day or even in one week. Just keep on the list until you feel you have done all you want to do.
Let us start with purchasing our foods. If possible buy organic foods; especially that are grown within 100 miles or so of where you live. That seriously reduces diesel full that we use when shipping foods. And the organic gives you a better value for your money in nutritional value. Supplementation of natural vitamins is necessary to go with what we can buy to maintain optimum health. First, yes the box of foods and drinks is still in my car behind the passenger’s seat BUT what is in it is very different. For me, tasty but really healthy snacks fill my car box and desk at work. I use the Meal-in-a –Bar, snack bags with a few nuts and/or dried fruit. Most people are either trying to lose weight or stay healthy and are concerned about making good food choices.
Our Meals-in-a-bar have the benefit of a meal, taste great and each has 20 grams of protein. This is important to build muscles, and muscle is what keeps your metabolism up and burning calories? Are you happy with your child's health and development?
Every stage of a child's development has important nutritional needs. Between birth and age three, 75% of its brain capacity has developed. By their fifth year, brain development is 90% complete. Today's fast food is cheap, convenient, available in large portions, and it is appealing to children. Many children aren't as active as they used to be.
