In the next few minutes you will discover a parable that so closely relates my feelings towards Veretekk its uncanny. In the short 2 minute story 2 men rescue a lion from a bad situation, take the lion in and become his guardian and family. When I found Veretekk I was looking for a method to attract business partners into my business. I had built a large customer base that gave me steady month after month income, but I knew to really take my business to the next level I needed to find others to do what I did. In a sense I felt like the lion in this video (before his guardians found him) looking for direction and a way to expand my knowledge of marketing.
When I found Veretekk, went to the trainings it was like I had a new online safe haven (playground) where I could grow, learn and expand my knowledge of online marketing. Just like guardians Tom Prendergast (CEO of Veretekk) and many trainers in the early days helped me grow into the online marketer I am today. Just like the lion in this video, even though my marketing knowledge has now expanded to teaching, training and coaching others. I will always be grateful for what Veretekk has done for me.

When I found Veretekk I quit purchasing all those ebooks, programs and stuff the internet gurus sell out there to the little guy teaching marketing. Oh yea, I'm still on some of their lists... but not to purchase stuff but to watch and learn from them. Veretekk is a safe haven with tools and systems already in place. Veretekk trainers are very much like guardians.. willing to share their knowledge for freee.
Just like the lion in this video to grow and mature he needed a safe haven (playground). Hands down Mike Darling (Pres. of Veretekk) is the expert at building tools and systems (playground equipment). I feel blessed and very fortunate to be in the beta group and give input for the tools and systems Veretekk develops. I'm completely blown away by the skills and knowledge Mike has. Mike Darling has truly taken the slogan "Marketing at the Speed of Thought" and made it a reality for my business.
My hat's off to you, Thomas Prendergast and Mike Darling for being like a guardians and providing a safe haven (Veretekk) for me to grow and mature into the online marketer I've become. I will always love you!

There is much more in to Veretekk than it looks like on the outside when you first sign into the system. I know the training alone on internet marketing is worth thousands of dollars. I'm not saying that because I'm an advanced trainer either, I attribute much of what I've learned about SEO, HTML, LINKING, and building relationships online to Veretekk.

One of the presenters I found is someone I know and respect as an Search Engine Optimization Advisor. In fact I've even been a guest on his home business radio show, but didn't know he was doing this too. His name is Paul Stanton. Many of you may know of Paul because he is a Veretekk trainer too.
The really ironic part of all this it was Butch Hamilton another Veretekk Trainer and SEO guy, that I was talking to this morning that gave me the link. It's funny as I look at my business over the years I realize how important Veretekk has been to the success of my business, If it weren't for VeretekkI wouldn't even know these people. As I heard Butch Hamilton say in a recent conference, "all roads lead back to Veretekk." This is so true! Sometimes we push aside things in our business thinking oh I don't need that or I don't have the time to use that. The guys over at Veretekk have been buring the midnight oil. This morning early I got a message from Mike Darling.

For someone like me this is HUGE.... It's now so easy for a marketing newbie to go in and start their own RSS feed and for me... I can just write til my hearts content. Heck I started 3 new blogs just this morning in less than 20 minutes! I love this.
I can remember when I was working in the employment and training field they started what they called "One Stop Shop" it was one place unemployed people could go to get all the services they needed to re-enter the workforce. Well this is exactly what Veretekk is starting to become. "A One Stop Shop" for marketing online... and the really cool part is there is no extra cost involved as a gold member you have all these extra features.
Ok is anyone seeing a pattern here? Yep you got it every blog has my brand on it. So... has anyone been working on that image or brand for their business yet? This is really important! Even though I have blogs all over the internet every last one of them has my brand on it in some way. The Veretekk blogs at this time are pretty plain.. but that is a good thing for a new person. The more bells and whistles there are the more confusing. So if you have been thinking about starting a blog and got caught up in the logistics. Start with the BlogFather!
Very soon Tom could be laying out in the grass on his own ranch doin trainings for us. He has some ranch land in San Diego County pegged with his name on it. I'm so happy for him to be moving away from the rat race in the city to a quiet peacful place in the country.
It's so nice to have Tom back in the Veretekk Training Room again. This guy is an awesome trainer I've learned so much from him. The first recording is his basic HTML training. I have to admit I'm not into writing webpages from scratch, but it sure helps to know this stuff. As I continue to expand my online marketing skills learning html is something that just goes with marketing on the internet.
Tom did a training last night on Search Engine Optimization(SEO). Talk about an excellent training! If you are new to all of this online marketing stuff it might stretch you a little, but just keep listening over and over... then it will all start to make sense.
Many have asked me about setting up your POP 3 and configuring your outlook express using message rules. So yesterday I recorded at training that Pat Hoffman did on this.
Personally I would like to see a detailed training on message rules and examples of catagories, if anyone has detailed message rules already set up in outlook express I want to talk to you. I know that Tom Prendergast has over 250 folders set up in his outlook express account. Gosh that's what I call detailed, really it's just nice to see some other systems out there and how they are set up. As most of you know I'm not big into email, but I get this question all the time.

Tom is changing the format of his trainings to have alternate the day's a week one will be SEO trainings the other day will be database/newsletter marketing training. Rather that try to organize these trainings I will just be posting the ones that I feel have some fresh content that is not mentioned in another training. Besides that I'm running out of memory on my website. Tom's Advanced SEO training RECORDING Tom makes a very good analogy in this recording about the different types of marketers he puts them in 2 catagories. The Hunter and The Farmer. It was one of the best anaologies I have heard. To find out which one I am listen to the recording OK... oh a hint would be in my business name "Barefoot in the Garden" does that sound like a business name of a hunter or farmer. :)
Have you heard about Daisy Chaining and the importance of linking but not sure how it works? I decided to do a recording of my advanced Veretekk Gold training and post it here. I cover building a page on free-page.net, driving traffic to traffic portals, (at least how I do it..) creating an image for your business, how to do a html email, adding pictures to a website and email, where to get good quality pictures, how to change the pixels of images. Every Thursday at 11AM PST I do these advanced trainings... they are never exactly the same. This next Thursday I think I'm going to cover promoting blogs.. I have noticed that lots of people are starting blogs and I want to make sure you understand how to get them listed and start building a reader base... I've had so many people come to me that are confused about daisy chaining so I'm going to attempt to explain OK. To do a daisy chain make a list of all your sites on a piece of paper, this includes all your Veretekk sites, your primary business sites, blogs any other sites you have out there on the net.
To daisy chain start at the top and link the 1st to the 2nd site, the 2nd to the 3rd, the 3rd to the 4th.. etc... making a long chain. think of it as all these sites lining up and holding hands.. when the Search Engines go to one site then they are going to find the next site in a chain and spider that and then the spider just works it's way down the chain till is has spidered all of your site's.
We have so many great people in Veretekk that love to work together for a common goal. One of those goal is to build a BIG team daisy chain. If you aren't sure you understand daisy chaining go to the post where I do my best to explain it before getting involved in a team linking strategy.
