What's a "plug-in"?
Simply put, a plug-in is a few web pages that can change the personality of QView to meet a vertical market need.
Some plug-in examples might be:
- Paid Content Distribution System
- Pay-per-view videos
- Access to Paid trainings or content
- eBook Distribution System
- eCommerce Applications
- Real Estate Sales Portal
These plug-ins are designed and sold by 3rd party individuals/companies and work inside of QView which acts as it's distribution system. Instead of selling a product/service from a normal website, QView gives you a more protected environment as well as other valuable content for viewers in addition to LIVE and On Demand content produced by you in QStudio.
If you have a project in mind and would like to discuss the possibility your application being a likely candidate for a 3rd party plug-in, feel free to contact Neal at Qname: allonq and we'll arrange a time where we can discuss your ideas. Plug-ins require the ability to create your own content in either HTML, PHP or ASP and many projects will require database integration. depending on your needs.
Depending on the project and time available, I may be able to quote a price for the design and and customize your project.

* * ATTENTION: QView "Branded" Owners * *
Starting tomorrow, September 25, 2006 at 07:00am EDT we will be making a change to QView Branded and how it operates.
Currently when someone opens up QView, the "QView HELP" page is displayed by default. We are changing it so that it will display "Sponsor's Message" as the initial page when QView is started. This will benefit all QView Branded owners since not only your branding on the right of QView is visible, but now the URL you have set as your "Sponsor's Message" will be visible on the RIGHT of side. If a visitor clicks on "Sponsor's Message" from the menu at the top it will open up to a full window as before.
This will not only give your content greater exposure, but will also lead the way for 3rd party "plug-ins" to be developed to be used inside QView.
You can read more about 3rd party "plug-ins" in the next article.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! One and All… Tonight July 12, 2006 at 8:00pm EDT there shall be a meeting in the Quikonnex – 2G News Conference Room to help with setup of QView Branded and perhaps give a tour of the features to reduce your learning curve. If you know of any Q member that would be interested in the QView Branded, you might drop them a line and let them know about the meeting. You can even have the register for their 7 day trial so that they can most likely have their copy by tonight in order to follow the setup. You can send them to the same URL as you went to last night. http://quikonnex.com/channel/item/20115 What You’ll Need: 1) a logo or branded image you wish to place on your QView (or any URL to a small image will do just to give you practice of where it should go (max. size 240x240px). 2) 2 web page/site URL’s you wish to be displayed in your QView. 3) the number of your GlobalTalk Conference Room (will look something like 050099). Hope to see you there! Neal

While working the wee hours of the night, we are getting close to the release of QView. QView is a FREE "viral" extension to QStudio content.
Think of it this way. QStuido is your "content management system" and QView is one major component of QStudio's "content distribution system".
