Can you believe the end of January is already here? I know time sure flies by faster then I want it to. As much as I hope to accomplish this year, I am already beginning to feel anxious and wonder how I will ever accomplish everything I set out to this year if time continues to fly by as it is doing? Time is such a precious isn’t it?
For this week’s Words for the Week I wanted to share with you a writing done by Feon Davis of www.inthearmsofgod.com that spoke to my anxious heart and reminded me to fear not and trust in his loving care and guidance for all that I hope to accomplish this year.
Fear not, Little flock
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32
I am but one out of 10 thousand,
My plight is under his dearest eyes,
I am of that flock that is wondering aimlessly,
And I am lost
Suddenly, He is there to give me light within my heart and soul,
A light of glory to accompany me along my way,
The Glory of His Light is big enough to shelter his flock,
A covering to shield the weak, and deprived,
I am of His flock,
I am one that is lost no more.
Any time you are feeling lost, deprived or neglected of your feelings, despairing of your life, your family without happiness; give it all to Jesus in His name. He will justify you with His Holy Spirit. He brings forth the prayers into His kingdom. And blesses in His glory and sends out his miracles, and healing to His followers, his flock. You’ re meant to be here as he has written in his plan. You're the mission He has planned. Ask Jesus, what do I need to do in your name, and show me, guide me Father. Take me by my Spirit and lead me on. As I walk, you're clearing the path I am walking on.
Thank you, Jesus for... walking with me.

The current events have my stomach tied up in knots lately, so much so that I've cried out to the Lord asking for enough understanding to deal with my emotions. God took me to the book of Judges, and in today's Words for the Week, I share what I believe He shared with me.

In today's Encouraging Audiobooks' Words For the Week Podcast, I will share about the joy of re-connecting with God's Spirit and the ability to hear His voice.I had a strange, a little frightening, but in the end, positive situation that happened to me. Although it was a little unsettling, the fact that God spoke to me during it was a comfort that made the scare all worth while. It had been a long while since I had heard that voice in the valley...which is why His voice was even more welcome. I had forgotten what it was like for him to be like a voice behind me telling me to go to the left or the right, or explaining the spiritual realm behind a situation. It's only a shadow...That was what I heard Him say, and that was a phrase I used to hear Him tell me when I was closer to Him. It meant that what was occuring was only meant to scare me, but was a shadow - something with no substance. It was not really an issue, He said, and I had to trust Him about it. I prayed I would find favor with the people concerned...but I was still trusting Him. And when Monday came, His word came true. Just a shadow. Not really an issue at all. So I encourage you to keep on seeking Him and His voice, that He may guide you and comfort you every day. Penny Haynes, 1st Podcasting Publishing

2 Timothy 2:12-14 (New International Version) 12if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; 13if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
Genesis 15:6-17 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. 7 He also said to him, "I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it." 8 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?" 9 So the LORD said to him, "Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon." 10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half. 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away. 12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. 13 Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions. 15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age. 16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure." 17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.
These are the scriptures I refer to in today's thoughts on God's faithfulness, even when we are not faithful.I know that I am very thankful that God continues to hold on to me, even when I feel I am too weak to hold onto Him. His presence and voice is a comfort, even if to scold me, as it means He has not abandoned nor given up on me. He still loves me...and He still loves you. God is the God of Second Chances
Today we will look at biblical persons and their stories to reveal how God has an unlimited number of chances for people who are willing to repent and turn to him. He meets us where we are - that's how wonderful He is.
The God who became man and came to earth to save us comes to us again and again during our life.
So if you are regretting decisions from 2005, rejoice! You have innumerable chances to do it the right way - God's way - in 2006. And if you stumble and fall, don't beat yourself up. His grace is sufficient for you (and for me too!)
In God's Grace,

New Years can be a time of great expectations and hopes, or great regret and even remorse.
We look behind us and see goals left unaccomplished, and flaws in our character. Some of us had hoped the year would be better. In any case, I have some good news.
God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.
You know those t-shirts that kids wear that says, "Be patient with me. God's not done with me yet." Well, we should all be wearing those...only have it printed backward, so we can look in the mirror and be continually reminded that we are a work in progress - a work of great value and importance, because our "Creator" is an esteemed Artist.
Today, Words for the Week will talk about God's plan for our lives, and his commitment to complete it on our behalf.
So look forward to the upcoming year, because as His plan for you unfolds, this could be quite an adventure.
