update Four U.S. senators are trying to derail a permanent ban on Internet access taxes by breathing new life into a recently expired moratorium.

The legislators, including Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., on Wednesday threw their support behind a two-year extension of the moratorium, which expired in November and had only temporarily prevented state governments from slapping new taxes on DSL (digital subscriber line), cable modem and dial-up Internet connections. The IRS has an Income Tax problem

Wednesday, February 11, 2004
By Robert R. Raymond
January 19, 2004

The IRS has an Income Tax problem. Tens of millions of Americans no longer file the form 1040. Why is that? Well, besides the fact that government consumes 40 percent of the fruits of our labor and people sometimes have to make a choice between feeding their families or feeding Uncle Sam; people are tired of IRS abuses, lack of candor about the law and the need for true due process when American¹s interact with the IRS. The greatest abuse being the IRS's and our elected officials refusal to tell the people what law makes them liable to pay the Individual Income tax... [Read More!]

Yes, it's been going on for a very long time. The gov likes their lacky taking money from us and giving it to them. Intimidation and the courts put fear in us so we can't afford to fight for our constitutional rights.

Government is the largest employer in the US. Even their taxes are paid by the rest of us. Gov wages are always too high for the quality of work being done - on a whole, not individually. There are good people working for the gov. It's just that one gov agency don't know what the other is doing. These days those employees don't even have to speak English!

One big problem is that if companies don't take taxes out of employees wages they would be shut down. That is the main cash cow for uncle. With companies going overseas the cow is getting thin. It is the job of the IRS to grab money where ever they can - from anyone they can - any way they can.

If people just KNEW they did not have to pay income tax and understood why, they may grow the backbone it will take to fight the IRS. I believe anyone who TELLS the people that news, would suddenly come up missing or have an accident. The web site would be taken down. I have that news and will share it with those who seriously wants it. It would go snailmail, not email.

It's been going on for so long. The hidden vote of 1913 probably was near the start. Until people unite and their tax apathy can no longer be found, nothing will happen. Why should the government dictate how you can spend your money. Remember it's YOUR money not theirs. Yes, we do need to have a tax system, but not a tax system where we are told what to do with our money. It's way out of hand, but unless we unite and DO something about it, it's not going to change.

You're right, Patricia. The IRS is a rouge, non government robber of the people. They take what they want without going to court or even telling you. They have helped themselves to my checking account after arraingements were made to pay them and forced me to close a business (in the 80s) and just recently they kept $2300 from my kids tax return for money they 'say' they owe for some lame reason. Just took it from the check at the bank BEFORE the kids even got it. Until the people start NOT paying, they will continue their crap. I am working on a report I call my TaX-Files and when it's done many WILL know why Americans do not have to pay income tax. Watch for it.

Yes, I know they are and have been ripping us Americans off. Last year we was to get 996.00 back from Our state, which is in Alabama. Which I had a homebased business which of 7 yrs, and claimed the same exemptions as always. Well, they wrote us and informed us that we couldn't and should'nt have claimed that much they took 775.00 from us. And, without further reasoning. I am tired of it, just because we have to pay extra taxes for this and that, to help the war etc. We get punished by our Taxes. Do not understand that at all.

Hi Bobbette,

I haven't heard of them. I'm seeing more garbage come in that suggests it's an ezine only to find out it is an ad for viagara or worse.

Some publishers have themselves so 'protected' because of spam they are inadvertently adding to the problem by making you go through 5 or 6 steps to get a message through to them. This just adds to the problem.

We are seeing some individuals taking liberty with the interpretation of the CAN-SPAM law and this will bring a whole new range of problems especially for those who are new to the net.

It's time to break this email habit. Just 'say no' to email. Period.

I Predict Trouble Ahead For Online Business...

Wednesday, May 07, 2003
Editorial by Bobbette Madonna -

I am coming along nicely with the work on the Legal site. It will be 'live' soon, I promise. Many of you have emailed saying you are glad this is finally happening and you want information. I would have had this done sooner but we took time out to celebrate the 4th along with the of the rest of our great country. I know some are wearing black arm bands to show their contempt for the USA which of course, shows me their small vision and pity party mind set.

Hating the character and values of one's country because of the actions of people you don't agree with politically is childish and non productive. It only shows that they are not tolerant nor understanding of other's feelings and beliefs and that they must display themselves in an obviously un-American stance. How sad!

Whoops, sorry, I digress...

As many of you know, I have been trying to find legal help for those of us who are wrongly put out of business by self appointed cops who have taken upon themselves the role of judge and executioner. Without any recourse they have your ISP shut down your Internet connection. You don't know why or who complained about you. They won't tell you. Until now, you had to beg your ISP for mercy (putting you further under their heel) or move your domain to another ISP. Then too, you could just quit!

Again, I am not saying that true senders of UCE don't deserve to be shut down, they do! I am saying that there are legitimate people who do not spam getting caught in the cross hairs and it has and is ruining their business and lives. This blatant act of condemnation without investigation is criminal and must be stopped.

That is our goal. That is what we want to accomplish. I have found the attorney who is willing to step up to the plate and do something about getting us due process instead of vigilante justice. There are others interested, too.

I feel the dam is about to break. The time is right for this to happen. With the FTC and Congress taking control of email and the FTC meeting only with the anti-spammers and not someone representing Internet business owners, the rouge groups have been given a big head, thinking they have convinced everyone they are right. We are here to say they are not right. Killing the innocent getting to the guilty is not the answer.

The FTC and Congress will make laws. They will listen to the loudest voice and most will vote the way their constituents wish them to. Well, everyone wants rid of spam. So, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how they will vote. However, remember, they haven't heard the other side - online business owners - and we aim to change that!

I am working with another group that you will hear about very soon. Their goal is to inform the FTC and Congress that we are a viable and legitimate entity on the Internet. This group works for us both online and offline. Stay tuned for that breaking news! You need to join their efforts also. We need to take back our rights or by God, we aren't going to have a business or email to worry about. The time is now and the place is here!

The Internet is a tool. Email is a component of that tool. Spam is an annoyance of Email. Those guilty of sending UCE are a small but rich handful of people who can afford their own servers in foreign countries. All the spamcops have not stopped them, nor will they and the problem is getting worse, proving that spamcop, Habeas, MAPS, etc., don't work. Besides, one with enough money buys off ISPs and the Haights of the world and get their junk and porn through. Those who don't believe that, know nothing about that end of the business world. Ever hear of Enron?

Internet cops just get rich selling their worthless software. You know who they are and so do I. They don't like ecommerce online any better than they like corporate offline business. So, making money off an entity they loathe is a pleasure for them. Read Haight's side of this issue - Read Here.

I report, you decide. Publishers, feel free to reprint all or any part of this editorial. We need to get the word out and get active. Thanks for reading and I want you to know I appreciate all your email. Keep them coming.
