Today’s business podcast discusses the statistics regarding
advertising and marketing via podcasts and blogs.
Internet marketing studies
show increases of 145% in online advertising spending in alternative social
media. Using RSS, top search engine ranking is achievable apart from search
engine optimization.
Podcast listenership
is increasing proportionately to the number of portable media player owners.
75% of these owners will download a podcast.
Over half of one group surveyed said they planned on purchasing a
portable media player in the next year. Additionally, over half of all
teenagers now own some type of portable player – these are the shoppers of
tomorrow.
Thanks to RSS syndication, text ads in a blog or podcast will
remain online and searchable for years to come...
making it a better investment
than more transient forms of conventional banners and text ads. Key word rich
text entry levels the playing field between large corporations and solopreneurs.
According to 1 study, 1 in 10 people has a portable player
and 75% of those people download podcasts.
You’ll have to listen to the
Brain Storm! business podcast to find out how this can benefit you and your
business. Marketing your business has
never been less expensive and more effective!

Advertising is changing so much that even the Advertising Companies are changing the way they do business!
This Digital Business Podcast talks about how advertising is becoming more accessible to the common business person, and the advertising agency has become less necessary. Therefore, agencies are remaking themselves (and their names) in order to "go with the flow".
Some agencies want to offer everything from soup to nuts, while others specialize.
So you need to decide what type of advertising you want to do before you go looking for professional help (if you ever do). The more coverage you attempt, the more it will cost you, and if you remember past podcasts, many times it is hit and miss without "smart ads".
Find out how Skype added 40 million users without spending a dime on advertising...
Other companies are bringing media placement and even advertising campaigns in house. And why not? The technology has become more accessible and less expensive. What's stopping you from doing your own commercials and placing your own advertising?
Learn how to put money in your pocket without risking a dime. You can do this at our "Bootstrap Your Business With Barter" class on Saturday, November 5th, noon EST, with Bob Prentice. We will have an interview with Bob next week about business and bartering, so you can find out how you can put at least $500 in your pocket through bartering - GUARANTEED!
Just to go owent.com, better known as The Overwhelmed Entrepreneur, and check out the class information on the left Events side bar. You can also check out the upcoming Holiday Business Gift Bazaar. If you'd like to be a part, you'll find that information there as well.
This is Penny Haynes, of Digital Business Books, encouraging you to keep on brainstorming!
The advertising playing field is about to be leveled.
Join me today, along with Louis Lambrianidis, a Digital Business Books ( DigBizBooks.com) Brain Storm! subscriber/listener with a lifetime of experience with technology, management, advertising and more, as we study internet advertising. Today we tackle the way that Yahoo is totally transforming the way that major corporations around the world are spending their advertising dollars, and how you can advertise like the big boys.
Learn the difference between targeted, search-engine advertising and brand advertising. Louis does a great job explaining what it is, and why you should use it. We discuss how and when to use each type of advertising, and also how much money you can get away with spending to check out your market.
Major corporations are moving the majority of their money into internet advertising, but major media firms are nervous about moving into that realm. So learn what the corporations now know, what the return is on their money, and how to work with clients that are a little hesitant about moving into internet advertising. If you have any comments or suggestions of your own, please share them on the Brain Storm! blog, or call them into the recording line.

Thanks, Ponn - as always, you are the Queen of Networking, and we agree that there is absolutely no business apart from honest, sincere networking. I'm not talking about the kind you do just to do business, but truly investing your time and concern in others. I'm reading a book called "Designated for Success", and it also underscores the need for sincere networking - not just the kind where you reach out when you need help. People need to be able to know and trust you, and networking is how you can do it! <smile>

Click the title to access the digital download audio article. One Second Commercials? Blink and you miss them. But if you see them (often), will you remember them?
Is there a benefit, both financially and promotionally, to creating 1 second commercials, instead of the traditional 30 second commercials? Inc's August 2005 issue asks that question in their Advertising section. They focus on One Second, a Mouth Refresher, who is pioneering this short format.
Today, in Digital Business Book's Brain Storm!, we discuss the ways that you can use this short format in your audios and ezines to keep yourself in front of your target market.
How can you create a steady trickle of your self or your product that stays in front of your audience? Can you create a companion campaign to go with your existing ezine, class or podcast? Find out what your options may be by listening to the digital download podcast...
