I wanted to continue on a bit more with the subject of homeopathy since it came up quite a bit in this last week and not just because Dr. Jill Elliot, DVM, is continuing into Part II of Acute Homeopathic Remedies for Pets in her class this week. The subject came up in our natural horse and pet care group this morning, and then again last week when a supplier found me! That was cool!

Oregano is a very "hot" oil and I would not use even Young Living's oregano (the ONLY essential oils I reccomend using) on a dog straight, especially near the eyes. Why would you want to use oregano?
Tear staining is usually due to diet, a yeast overgrowth, fungus or infection. I would first look into switching dog foods to a grain free formula and if the stains don't clear up in a couple of months there is something else going on.
I am wondering if i can use Oil of oregano for my Shihtzu's tear staining? Is it safe to use on dogs especially small dogs?

A Holistic Non-Drug Approach To Heartworm Prevention | Friends, This week's All God's Creatures Education Seminar is being taught by Will Falconer, DVM on Thursday April 7th at 9:00 pm E.S.T. As you all know, most veterinarians (that are not holistic practioners) recommend giving a daily or monthly (even more recently even an injection that lasts 6 months) pill to prevent heartworms. Trouble is folks, is that in actuality, you are NOT preventing them but adminsitering a very toxic cure on a regular basis.This toxic cure contains a chemical insectide, the chemicals are capable of causing a disease in them selves. While the dosage in thier so called prevention is much smaller then the actual cure is, it's administered month after mnth and the toxic side-effects can become a serious health risk for your dogs. |

This class will be on Professional dog breeders vs. Amateur Dog Breeders, what to know and look for when you're in the market for a puppy and what you need to know about breeders. All God's Creatures Audio Classes | My Friends! Fist I want to thank you all that showed up for our first two FREE classes. Yesterday's class was on "Puppies". We will be having at least one or two more free classes available to you so be sure to sign up now. |
Once our veterinarians, trainers, therapists, etc., start with our regular classes they will no longer be free of charge. We're working on a membership/affiliate program so that these classes will be affordable for everyone AND you can make some income sharing them.
