My Home Was than I thought! I had the nicest surprise this morning as the UPS man brought my Products. I love the choice to have auto ship of those things I use on a regular basis. It always feels good to be restocking the family shelves with truly healthy eco friendly cleaning supplies, laundry soaps and vitamins, herbal supplements and personal care products. But something I hadn’t noticed was the packaging. They use as many of you know a soft pillow like plastic air filled bags and the bags are #2 which mean they are recyclable. Just pop them, releasing the air and then place bags into your recycling bins.

And amazement … I just checked the nutritional supplements I ordered, yes, the bottles have #2 on the bottom so remove the lids and put those in recycle bin as well. Excitedly I ran around the house and was so happy to find that all the cleaning supplies, like laundry plastic pump bottle, hand soaps, dish washer dispenser and more, all are recyclable. Wow, I was first a user of the Eco Friendly Products but even now, as a Distributor, I hadn't realized the great plain our company goes to t be Earth Friendly. They are Goes Green all the way!Now that is something I can really support.

If you have been considering a High Quility Home Based Business which can be done from home or even an home internet business, I invite you to contact me to set a time for a personal FREE consultation. Sugar is the first taste we all recognize as infants. You liked the taste then – and you still crave it today. Food manufacturers add sugar to packaged foods to make it more appealing. This increases your dependence – the more sugar you eat, the more you want and need – that’s how you probably got to eating 135 pounds of sugar each year!

The average person should eat no more than 32 grams of sugar, (8 teaspoons), per day. (32 grams is the equivalent of one 12 ounce can of cola or six ounces of low fat, fruit yogurt.)

If you are curious how sugar sneaks into our foods and the health risks, just Google it! Google has at your finger tips a wealth of information that I found support to keep me on track. I’m a ‘why’ girl so it helped me to understand the importance of abstinence from sugar or for others the need to restrict how it’s getting into our food chain and onto the family kitchen table.
Excess sugar contributes to expanding waistline as well as increases in illnesses, such as diabetes. People who are overweight also have a greater tendency toward cardiovascular disease, stroke, pain in their joints, arthritis and so much more.

Natural Weight Loss Products and Meal Replacment shakes and bars easily fill the void of wanting a sweet taste. [Read More!]

Considering Mindset, Attitude, Commitment, Balance and Success

In a Goes Green eco friendly business as in any successful bussiness you will find that success is all about having the right mindset. With the right mindset you can achieve anything. Success is very often a short-lived high. People arrive at the goal line in life, look into the end zone and discover that it contains many of the things that money will buy, but it contains very little of what money won't buy. Success doesn’t always mean winning. There are other ways to win, rather than winning "the game".

Being successful is all about what you want to happen and what you choose to make out of your success. Being successful is every person's dream. Every one of us wants to be successful in our career, family and in our total being. Being successful is a skill you can learn. [Read More!]

New Green Cleaners: Goin Green - Ridin the Wave

Thursday, April 24, 2008

Goin Green - Ridin the Wave

Green Clean has been seen by close to 150 million people, and has been recommended by cultural giants like Oprah and Rachael Ray, as well as best-selling authors from David Bach to Colin Cowie. You may have seen us in hundreds of places including magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens, TIME, Real Simple, Family Circle and FAST COMPANY or on news programs like “TODAY”, “CBS 2 Chicago” and “KTLA FOX Los Angeles.” In fact, according to Nielsen Buzzmetrics, OUR COMPANY is one of the most popular brands currently discussed in connection with sustainability!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE YOU’VE MADE!
Just through the sale of All Purpose H alone, we’ve eliminated 3 billion bottles of conventional 26-ounce window cleaner -- if placed end-to-end, these bottles would wrap around the earth more than 19 times!

Time Magazine says Oprah had this to say about All Purpose H (11/20/07)
"I really love the All Purpose H Organic Cleaning Concentrate. And the reason why I love the H is because you just use a drop, just a little drop and it cleans like what you would normally be using a half a bottle of stuff for. So it sounds expensive, but it's concentrated and saves the environment."

Rachael Ray: Lara Spencer’s “The Dish” (3/28/08)
"These products are called Green Clean and the reason why we love them is because they provide the best combination of really great cleaning power but also they’re non-toxic, they are economic, and they are safe for you, your home, and most importantly, the planet…so we just ask that you consider giving Shaklee a try - for me, for Rach."

 New York Times Magazine (3/16/08)
"So 'our company' eco-friendly 'Scrub-out' Heavy-Duty Paste is tempting: it promises to disappear oven drippings and not 'burn off your nose hairs in the process.' That works for me."

InStyle (March 2008)
"They can’t leap buildings in a single bound, but these non-toxic 'our company' products are super-powerful when it comes to fighting grime."

Domino (March 2008)
"'our company' did the best job (by far) on our stain test. It uses enzymes, not phosphates or solvents, to power out grime, and the formula is so concentrated, it replaces three bottles of mere mortal varieties
."

Weight Loss , Anti-Aging & Health Tips from Dr. OZ

Thursday, April 24, 2008

Anti-Aging & Weight Loss Tips from Dr. OZ

Dr. Oz, a cardiac surgeon at one of New York's best hospitals, spoke once again about how to stay young on the Oprah Winfrey Show! This show was so packed with information I took notes and will be sharing what I learned over the next few days.

I think you'll agree that most people conserned about losing weight watch the scales. According to Dr. Oz, he says to look at your waist measurement more than your weight measurement."

Dr. Oz also said that your waist measurement should be less than your height divided by 2. If you are 70" tall, your waist measurement should be less than 35". It is possible to gain muscle weight and also lose inches around the waist. This is a good thing!

The ideal heart rate is: 220 minus your age times .80. Example: a women age 44 should have a target heart rate of 140 when exercising. A lady in the audience complained that she was slowly gaining weight even though she exercises regularly. The Doc put her on an ellipse machine and said she hasn't been pushing herself hard enough. Get the heart rate up 3 times a week.

You should strength train at least 30 minutes a week. Strengthen the core muscles first, before you do pull ups. You should also practice yoga to enhance your flexibility. Yoga is also good for the mind. Some meditations require making a Yummmm, or similar sound. These vibrations are good for the body.

Dr. Oz started by showing two pieces of cut apples. One apple looked fresh because it was rubbed with lemon juice. The other apple piece looked brown and oxidized. Dr. Oz said when our cells oxidized; we age, like the brown apple. The lemon juice is an example of an antioxidant and the other apple piece was better preserved.

Antioxidants are found in blueberries. You should select fruits and vegetables with bright and deep colors. The colors are an indicator of nutrient rich fruits and vegetables. Broccoli loaded with antioxidants and also beneficial for thyroid function. Broccoli has a specific chemical that protects the body against cancer. Tomatoes contain lycopine which is good for the heart.

Here are a few more important points Dr. Oz mentioned...

  • Sleep: 7-8 hours every night.
  • Sex: 2-3 times a week. This creates more oxitosin, which is a hormone in women that creates a feeling of a loving bond and well being. Sex creates more testosterone in men.
  • Vitamins you should add to your diet: Muli Vitamins- a note to pre menopausal women, you need your iron. Men and post menopausal women, he says, no more than 2500 iu vitamin A. Iron is not necessary for men and post menopaousal women.
  • Most people over 40 should take 2 baby aspirin a day. This practice will help ward away wrinkles. It is also an anti-inflammatory.
  • Smoking increases your "real age" by 10 years.
  • Having a passion in life has a positive affect on your real age by 8 years. It keeps your mind young.

On a side note ... Dr. Oz said on another show that the chemicals in your brain are the same chemicals that are found in your gut  (intestines). "If your brain isn't happy, your gut will not be happy. If your gut is not happy, your brain will not be happy either." He talked about inflammation in the gut and the importance of adding pro-biotics to reduce inflammation.

Vitamins and Supplements: Do you need a Herbal Laxative?

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

Do you need a Herbal Laxative?

YOU BE THE JUDGE...  It has been known by the natural healing profession for many years, and is recently being validated by the medical physicians, that well over 90% of degenerative disease conditions can be related directly to intestinal stasis  that is, a stagnant, fermenting condition within the bowels and related organs.

This does not necessarily correspond to actual known constipation. A person can move his bowels many times a day, and still be encumbered with dead cells, decaying food materials, poisonous chemicals, parasites, pus, mucus, etc., all of which contribute to the circulation of toxins throughout the whole body, giving rise to an endless chain of "disease" conditions.

These facts should be taken into consideration when nutrition programs and vitamin therapy are introduced for the first time. The proper body's response to a proper nutrition program is to start releasing stored toxins from the cells and this puts more stress on organs of elimination (colon, kidneys, lungs, liver, blood, and skin) which are already malfunctioning from past intake of drugs, additives, and refined, processed and overcooked foods.

The result of this could be symptoms of nausea, weakness, headaches, rashes, and tiredness. To prevent this from happening,  Our Manufactuer has made Herbbal-Laxative, a combination of nine different herbs that help detoxify the body through better, more complete, elimination.

It is important to understand that herbs are not in any way related to the artificial colon?cleansers promoted by television. Herbs do not act like ordinary laxatives that irritate the tissues and force the bowel to eject its contents. This weakens the organs and causes dependencies. But herbs, being a food, nourish the bowel and related organs to strengthen them so that they will function entirely on their own, effectively eliminating waste materials.

It is hard to say how many Herbal Laxative tablets an individual should use, since each person differs. Choose the dose that gives you two to three soft, easy bowel movements daily. This can range from one half to 30 per day (in the case of Diverticulitis).

Those who are faithful in using Herbal Laxative for internal cleanliness will get surprising good side effects as days, weeks and months go by. These include a better complexion, no headaches, no bad breath, little odor during bowel movements, plus more energy and clearer thinking.

One cannot study the our Herbal Laxative without gaining a profound respect for our founder Forrest C. Shaklee, Sr. What an amazing mind he had to conceive such a product at the time he did.

Remember, interest in herbal medicines had waned considerably during the middle of the last century.  Herbal Laxative was the second product he developed, and it has truly withstood the "test of time" remaining one of Shaklee Distributors top selling and favorite products.

Dr. Shaklee knew that proper elimination of waste from the bowel is one of the keys to optimal health. It is said that 90% of degenerative diseases are related to, or worsened by, the food we eat passing too slowly through our intestinal system.

The fact that our Herbal Laxative contains Senna leaf powder and is therefore a laxative is a no-brainer.  Practically everyone in the medical or herbal community would understand that.  What Dr. Shaklee did to make his signature product unique was to blend an additional eight herbs with the Senna leaf powder to enhance its intended use  - that being to speed up the movement of foodstuffs through the intestinal system.

He was able to accomplish this without the usual unwanted side effects of taking a laxative.  Another great consideration about this product is that the label states a serving size of four tablets.  That would indeed cause a gentle bowel movement within several hours. I think it is interesting to note that by taking less than the serving size, one can effectively speed up the flow of food and waste through the intestinal tract without causing diarrhea.

Why does it work the way it does?  Certainly, several of the herbs contained in this product produce a laxative action.  Buy Herbal Laxative Online SAVE

Shaklee Distributor Business is it for YOU?

Thinking about Starting a Shaklee Distributor Business?

Do you ever wish you could be a fly on the wall and get an inside look at the Shaklee Distributor Business with out a commitment? Thanks to the internet, youtube, and the company that hosted the 50th anniversary Convention, they have put out the awesome promotional video letting you take a look a what goes on at our conventions. Take a look...

As Shaklee Distributors we were part of this celebration week. As you can see in the video there were many in attendance, and yes our company is growing by leaps and bounds. There are many ways to grow a Shaklee Distributor Business as a marketing strategies coach I make it a point to be tuned into marketing strategies for growing the business online and offline.

Duplication is something has been taught in the MLM industry for years, in my eyes this is why so many people fail. None of us come from the same mold, we all have things we like to do and things we hate doing. On our team we use a 7 step process that is designed to fit you, teaching you to delegate out things you are not good at or don't like doing, and focusing on your strengths to build your business foundation.

Sometimes when I look at the "Smoke, Mirrors and all the "Just join our program and you will  be rich by tomorrow"  it's no wonder many people looking for honest business opportunities get taken. It's human nature to be sucked into the lie's and promises of "it's easy anyone can do it." I just want you to know while building a business may be simple if the right steps are taken, not everyone will do it.

omg....now Rachel Ray knows too!... Do you?

Thursday, April 10, 2008

First it was Oprah now Rachel Ray...

gosh everybody in the know is learning my secret! Hey it's not that I've tried to keep all of this hush hush. As you well know our email inbox's get flooded with messages daily and before long our eyes just glaze over.

In all reality though.... Going green doesn’t need to be difficult or complicated. Even small steps count, and what you do every day can help keep your family and the planet healthy. Thanks to the thousands who have chosen our Green Cleaners, look at the difference made over the past 12 months!

  • Kept 10,230,732 pounds of packaging waste out of landfills.
  • Eliminated 23,492,792 pounds of greenhouse gas.

You can be healthier and make your life easier with some small changes:

Clean Up Your Cleaning Products

Some conventional cleaning products can contain questionable chemicals like phthalates, butyl cellosolve, sodium hydroxide, ammonia, or formaldehyde. Why would you endanger your health or the health of the planet with harsh chemicals and toxic substances when you can choose natural and healthier alternatives?

Switch to Get Clean®. Get Clean offers choices that are safe, nontoxic, and natural, and they work wonderfully. Many Get Clean products are formulated using sustainably sourced ingredients from natural sources, like activated enzymes or biodegradable cleaning agents derived from corn and coconuts. When you welcome Get Clean products into your home, you’re not exposing your family to many of the dangerous chemicals found in conventional cleaners.

A great way to start is with the Get Clean Starter Kit—everything you need to clean your home. Get a Starter Kit GO GREEN too OR call me 888-272-6701 for my limited special offer and mention code "Earthday Non-Profit Passion II"

Start Using your Dishwasher!

Using the dishwasher is actually better for the planet than washing dishes by hand. The average energy-efficient dishwasher uses just 4 gallons of water per cycle, saving nearly 5,000 gallons of water per year compared with hand washing—as well as $40 in energy costs and 230 hours of washing time, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Make sure to use a phosphate-free detergent. Phosphates spur algae blooms and are a major source of water pollution.
Green Clean Dish Wash Automatic Concentrate is one of the first phosphate-free automatic dish wash detergents.

Ditch the Anti-bacterial Hand Soap

Triclosan, a common ingredient in antibacterial soap that kills microbes, ends up in our water sources and, at specific levels, is acutely and chronically toxic to aquatic life. Moreover, overuse of antibacterial and antimicrobial soap can help create antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which may weaken the effectiveness of currently useful antibiotics. Antibacterial soap doesn’t offer any better protection against illness than vigorous hand washing with plain soap and warm water.

Green Clean Hand Wash Concentrate is a great antibacterial-free alternative. It’s soap free, pH balanced, hypoallergenic, and has biodegradable surfactants.

Bring your own bag

Okay, we’ve all heard this one, but it’s true. Neither paper nor plastic is the ideal choice. Paper is accepted in more recycling programs, but only approximately 20% is recycled, and most bags can end up in landfills. Plastic bags not only can take a thousand years to decompose and but use up nonrenewable resources. The best choice?
Bring your own reusable bag. A sturdy, reusable one can take the place of hundreds or maybe even thousands of single-use bags over its lifetime.

Get Clean offers lightweight, sturdy, reusable shopping bags in a bright green color with the Get Clean logo, so you can spread the word while you shop.

Buy from Socially Responsible Companies

Use your consumer power to support companies that are environmentally responsible and offer products that are safe for you and the environment. Our Barefoot Secret company has a long history of environmental responsibility, including introducing one of the first biodegradable cleaners in 1960.

Business Opportunity: What does Oprah, Asthma and YOU have in Common?

Thursday, April 10, 2008

What does Oprah, Asthma, and YOU have in common?

You may have realized by now the Oprah Show has one of the most powerful targeted markets on television. Oprah is a marketer well worth your careful attention. Advertisers pay enormous fees to reach her upscale audience, and millions of American women tune in to her show each day.

Take note: If she's talking about something, you should, too. Here is a simple 5 minute clip from the Oprah Show that educated millions of Americans about Asthma a preventable disease.

It's a fact Asthma is a disease to educate the general public about. Think about it do YOU know of someone who has asthma? If, after watching this video and YOU had the opportunity to share this knowledge would you?

I can't imagine not helping someone prevent disease if they could! Maybe not everybody is like me and yes I would benefit if you purchased one of those green clean kits directly from my website.  But that's not the purpose of this message!

Here's the Deal: In celebration of Earth Day April 22, 2008 and my non-profit passion to give to others... If you call me at 888-272-6701  I will share with you a limited offer any smart business person wouldn't refuse. Be sure to mention code: "Earth Day Non-Profit Passion"

Time Management VS Activity Management

Time marches on with or without our permission, each of us gets 24 hours a day But we can successfully manage Activity and De-Stress our lives!

Any serious business person knows that we have more to do than hours to do it in. So what’s a person to do?  Those of us in Home based business are no exception. Often you balance job, family, social responsibilities and in there somewhere is your personal home business or home internet business. Remember the added bennifit of Home Internet Businessess being eco friendly.

Traditional time management books sold at the Office Stores lead you through a series of calendars, lists, some goal setting and objectives. The day timer looks very professional but is highly outdated.  Ops, no I don’t mean to go to put it on your computer or some fancy cell phone. Notes and plans are spread from office, to kitchen to postems long lost.

How much time each day are you spending on home chores or unimportant things (those tasks that do not move you towards your objective of financial success in your home business). Do constant interruptions impede your progress?

Vitamins & Supplements: Health in a Minute

Thursday, April 03, 2008

Here's looking at you!

What looks back at you in the mirror? Your eyes... The gift of eyesight provides your brain with more input than all other senses combined. Each optic nerve contains one million nerve fibers, and it is estimated that more than half of the information in the conscious mind enters through the eyes. "The eyes are the windows to your soul." Sounds important to take care of them doesn't it.

You've viewed millions of images. The eyes can use some help in getting refreshed to see even more of this wonderful world of ours. Chances are you have
spent some time in front of your computer, watching tv, or spent hours of driving.

Here's a couple of exercises to keep your vision clear for living your purpose.

Remember only do this when you are sitting quietly.
Sit back...close your eyes...take some slow deep breaths.
Do this for one minute.
What happens is your mind is clearer to focus and your lacrimal glands get to bathe your eyeball with fluid to relieve dryness and discomfort.

Another one is using acupressure.

As you are deep breathing for one minute, press with both thumbs upward on the points at the inner eyebrows.
Sitting and cupping your hands over your eyes while deep breathing will give your eyes added rest from light.

It's easy to take care of your eyes.

Nutrition plays a big part of eye health.

It takes less than a minute to take a 100% bio-available nutritional supplement rich in Vitamin C, E, zinc, and rich antioxidants. The difference is in the bio-availability. Read your labels. It's worth developing the habit every day to preserve one of your senses that means so much to you. Your eyes will smile back at you.

Enjoy the technicolor life you live today. The twinkle in your eyes will be a gift to someone you love.
