Living on a farm in KS makes you more aware of the extreme weather conditions that can leave people stranded. Last week we just had the worst ice storm I can remember. Many of our neighbors are without power, and the topic when the delivery people come with Christmas gifts are "do you have power yet?"
I'm personally lucky enough to be full time in my own business working strickly online so as long as we have power and internet I'm set! The few day's we were without power we were strategizing about what we needed to do to not be with out power again.
