"AOL to launch podcast search from Podscope
16/09/2005 by Leigh Phillips
Internet company AOL has got in on the trendy, trendy podcasting doo-lang doo-lang.
As part of a new agreement between AOL and audio and video search engine developer TVEyes, AOL is to offer TVEyes' Podscope, a dedicated podcast search engine. The new service is based on an integration of the TVEyes Podscope search engine with AOL Search.
Podscope, which creates a spoken-word index for every word in audio and video files, makes the files searchable in the same manner as text pages on the web.
Available this fall, AOL's podcast search function will offer access to every known podcaster's most current files and thousands of archived files. The new search functions will be accessible through the AOL.com portal and AOL Search."
