As the number of podcast programs increase, only professional sounding shows are expected to last and prosper. The Podcasting Handbook for Busy Entrepreneurs teaches businesses how to create professional sounding podcasts to increase exposure within their niche market.

(PRWEB) July 25, 2005 -- Podcasting is projected to reach 60 million people by the year 2010. Within two days, iTunes registered 1 million subscribers by adding Podcasting feeds to their business. However, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Fortune Magazine, very few of the near 10,000 podcasts on the Internet are worth listening to due to poor quality and content. Eventually, only the most professional sounding podcasts will survive.

That’s why the 12-CD “Complete Podcasting Handbook for Busy Entrepreneurs” was created. Penny Haynes, President of 1st Podcast Publishing, is an audio producer, publisher, creator of five podcasts and host of the Family Friendly Podcasts Directory, with several years of experience as a television producer, director and editor. She has been helping entrepreneurs create professional sounding podcasts, using only a computer, microphone headset, and free recording and editing software.

As noted on the cover of the July 7th, 2005, issue of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Mrs. Haynes teaches entrepreneurs how to utilize podcasting to reach millions of potential clients in their niche market. The feature article in the Cherokee Tribune states that the course includes over 8 hours of audio and video, as well as screen print tutorials, and a free 128 MB MP3 Player while supplies last. The course also includes links to free recording programs, free services and free royalty-free music, as well as a monthly Continuing Education class.

The Tribune interviewed Laura Gonzalez, of Virtual Business Solutions, who stated, “This [course has given my business an edge that maybe another business owner doesn't have. It gives my clients the ability to leave the office and still be [able to listen to my QuickBooks tutorials while they are on the road.”

“The details of actually creating the podcast [were pretty easy, but the audio recording about killed me,” stated Paige Eissinger of 2 Smart Chix, a recent graduate of the course and co-host of PC Primer, a Computer Technology radio show. “Penny provided [information on audio recording [and editing that was worth the entire cost of the class.”

“Podcasting is an extremely affordable way for entrepreneurs to promote their businesses,” says Penny. “And if entrepreneurs find out that podcasting is not right for them, we'll refund their money, no questions asked.”

Is Using MP3 Technology a Crime?

I read Lynnette Chandler's MP3 blog entry about how MP3 technology usage is actually chargeable by the owner of the technology. According to Chandler, "the license is not required if your business is generating less than US$100,000 a year."

I believe the MP3 technology creators deserve to be paid.

As I responded on Lynnette's blog, I have experience in the music industry, and bootlegging and copyright infringement in songs is a serious offense. And even more importantly, you are taking money out of the mouth of the person who created the music when you illegally download, copy or bootleg the music. I feel the same way with MP3 technology.

If I make $100 Grand on MP3s, I SHOULD let the MP3 Creators benefit financially!

I don't see a problem in paying $2,000 or $3,000 to a company who enables me to make $100,000 in profits. Call me crazy, but if I were the creator, I would want to be paid. And it's a tiny percentage of the income for such great revenues.

Tell me what You think about all this...

I'd be interested to hear your take on this. Do you think you should pay if you make $100,000 on mp3s?

The number of podcast users in the United States is expected to increase nearly 15 fold over the next five years, reaching 60 million by 2010, a consumer technology research group said Tuesday.

The increasing use of digital music players and other factors are expected to drive a 101 percent compound annual growth rate in podcast listeners over the next five years, The Diffusion Group said. The number of podcast users this year is expected to reach 4.5 million."
