1st Podcast Publishing - Words For The Week
I have struggled so many times about not feeling like I am "good enough" or deserve to call myself a follower of Christ.

I have spent so much of my life trying to earn respect or love that I forget that this is not how God works. Mark Chapter 1 encourages me, because it shows me how Jesus chose uneducated, undisciplined, ignorant people. All He asked of them was to follow Him.

I hope this week's devotional podcast encourages you as well, and that we may seek to do as He asks - come and follow Him.

The current events have my stomach tied up in knots lately, so much so that I've cried out to the Lord asking for enough understanding to deal with my emotions. God took me to the book of Judges, and in today's Words for the Week, I share what I believe He shared with me.

What is love anyway?

Today we will look at quotations about love from a quotation compilation, and compare them to the biblical version of love. These quotes are, I believe, right on the money, and can be emphasized with biblical examples.

Love is not lust, possession or a feeling.

There are a lot of things that love is not, as well as things that love is. I like Shakespeare's quotation that it is an "ever fixed mark" - because the best example of love, Christ's sacrifice for us - is an ever fixed mark or standard to which we can compare ourselves.

These quotations will encourage you to look at how you love, who you love and why you love.

I hope it will prepare you to have a truly love-filled year.

I thought I would share with you an interview conducted by Raven Davis of Women Power Talk Radio (http://www.WomenPower-Radio.com). Her show is dedicated to encouraging and empowering women over 40, and this sister is a definite blessing.

Her roster of previous interviewees is pretty impressive (you should check it out!), and I felt very privileged that Raven would add me to her lineup. I share a lot of personal things in this interview about my past and my struggles, as well as how the Lord helped me overcome and rebuild my life. I hope that the interview is encouraging to you, although I will warn you that it is pretty long, almost 90 minutes in length!

Raven and I discuss the upcoming Women's Podcasting Expo, July 14-16, 2006 where she will also be presenting a seminar. Join us, for free booth browsing and giveaways, 3 free seminars, and more.

What Really Matters
Don't let your worries get the best of you. Remember, Moses started out as a basket case.
Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisors.
When you get your wit's end, you'll find God lives there
People are funny: They want the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back of the Church.
Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on the front door forever
Quit griping about your congregation, if it was perfect, you couldn't belong
God himself does not propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you??
Some minds are like concrete, thoroughly mixed up, and permanently set.
Peace starts with a smile
We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.
Be ye fishers of men. You catch them-He'll clean them.
Don't put a ? where God puts a period.
Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to the meeting.
Forbidden fruits create many jams
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called
God loves everyone, but probably prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious nuts"
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.
He who angers you controls you!!!
If God is your Co-pilot-swap seats
Prayer-Don't give God instructions-just report for duty!!
The task ahead of us is never as Great as the Power behind us.
We don't change the message, the message changes us.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.

Join us at the Women's Podcasting Expo, July 14-16, 2006, an online event, open to everyone in the world!
