Creativity is the core of any successful business.
In today's business podcast, we will discuss business strategies shared by entrepreneurs who are responsible for the success of a business through creativity. We have a top designer, a comic book editor, an advertising executive, a health products marketer, and more.
8% of my time must inspire the other 92% of my business.
That's the take on creativity from this hands-on designer. She talks about the overwhelming amount of mundane business activities that threaten to drown out creativity, and how she deals with it.
We will brainstorm on the different ways you can foster your creativity so that your business is more successful.
Learn from the professionals who have made it and build upon what they say. Brainstorm to innovate even better ideas and ways to be creative.
2006 is your oppportunity for unlimited business success and growth.
Make the most of it. I'll be right here alongside you, brainstorming for my own business as well!

Be true to yourself and you will lose your misery.
We are going to discuss what makes us miserable and what makes us happy. Desire and expectations are chief factors, but being all things to all people can be real issues. That's why we need to learn to be true to ourselves.
Please share with us how you have been true to yourself in a situation, and how you lost your misery.
You can really encourage someone else with your story, so I hope you do.
Have a wonderful New Year!
You've always wanted to be in a band, right? Well, this is your chance to "play along", just like this guy! I remember a time when air bands were the thing in high school (I'm dating myself - late 70's / early 80's), but now, they're just a thing of the past.
Maybe that's why this is also such a great comedy clip - it's a blast from the past, with a twist.
This is Penny Haynes, wishing you a Happy New Year, filled with clean fun!

There's no better way to celebrate the holiday than to review new creative products.
I mean, why re-invent the wheel when you can observe (and hopefully improve upon) other people's insights and use of technology? Whether you are looking for gadgets for your business customers or for your own pleasure, today's business podcast will introduce you to some of the newest toys.
Dolls that talk, understand you and make faces...Chucky has nothing on Amazing Amanda!
The Wired Magazine reviewer of this unbelievable toy said it was almost frightening, how realistic she was. She can tell when she's sitting on the toilet, when her "Mommy" talks, what plastic food you put in her hand, and what clothes she is wearing. She also tells you whether or not she likes the clothes or the food. Now THAT'S realism!
Find the perfect Christmas present you can give yourself (in exchange for those presents you end up returning).
You never know what you may discover. Personally, I'm thrilled to receive a new IngenuiTEA from Adagio Teas. It's my second IngenuiTEA, only this one is not the 16 oz one I use at the office. The one my son got me is the 4-cup size that I can enjoy at home.
You pour your filtered water into the microwavable pot and boil the water. Take it out and put in your tea, herbs or dried fruit, you let it steep, and then it uses a nylon strainer to pour out perfectly clear tea. I pour it into my glass tea pot and sit it upon my tea light warmer...sheer heaven! (smile)
So however you define happiness, I hope your holidays are filled with it!
All the best from Penny Haynes and Digital Business Books.
This is not a jolly holiday for everyone.
While many are frollicking with family and friends, others are alone and wishing their life was some other way. While some are looking forward to what 2006 brings, others are worried they have squandered their many years behind them and may never reach their goals.
Tis the season to look for those who may be hurting.
You could really brighten someone's holiday by inviting them to your celebration, or getting them a gift. You never know if that may be the only present that they will get this year.
No looking back, no regrets...
I hope this podcast helps you see that your life still lays ahead of you, and that every day is another chance to mold your life into the life you always dreamed of. Start today by treating yourself well - buy yourself your own Christmas or Chanukah gift! At least you know you'll love it!
May you and your family be blessed this holiday season.

Did you know that, no matter how good you have been, you still don't deserve any gifts this year?
It's true - and you know why? Because gifts can't be deserved. They can be given and received, but not because of anything you do. If you have to earn it, it's a reward - not a gift.
For God so loved the world that He gave...not, the world was so good that God gave...
Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, so we couldn't have earned the gift of God's Son through good actions. This is a concept that is very hard for some of us to accept, as we have never known unconditional love. Several key people in my life have told me that I didn't deserve anything because of my actions - I now realize that they were confusing gifts with rewards.
Tis' the season to learn how to give and receive in God's grace.
If you have something against someone, make it right with them. If you are upset with them because they have disappointed you with their actions, consider giving them the gift of acceptance for who they are. If you still be believe that you don't deserve a gift, trust in God's grace and accept whatever you are given graciously.
I pray that you and those close to you enjoy the holiday season, and experience a blessed New Year.

This Ebaumsworld video is more amazing than funny!
The person who decorated their house must be a roadie for a professional band, because the timing on this musical light show is perfect! You will stare in wonder about how they did it.
I hope your holidays are joyful and festive...
Thank you for being a part of Comedy Clip of the Week.

Ideas are the well-spring from which everything else pours forth...And that includes money! <smile> Especially when you go to http://www.USPTO.gov and enter the Modern Marvels Invent Now Challenge by December 31, 2005. You can win $25,000 and a spot on the History Channel! Not bad at all... Today we will discuss patents, their costs, and how you can come up with great ideas by reviewing existing ones!I didn't realize the wealth of information you can find when you just search through the US Patent records. Most patents are based on other patents anyways, so if you can improve upon someone else's idea, go for it! Plus, you are patenting an idea - even if you don't know how to actually manufacture it or make it happen! I share one of my big ideas (but withhold my present patent pursuit), in hopes of getting your brain "whirring" with ideas.I'd love for one of my listeners to actually win that competition! Now's the time to sort through all of those ideas and figure out which ones are the best. However, you have to have submitted your idea to the patent office in order to enter the contest, and that means forking over a cool thousand dollars. You've got to be serious about it. Just go to http://www.DigitalBusinessBooks.com/products.asp?cat=55#HMCD to get yours today! I just want to thank you for listening to Brain Storm! Penny Haynes, eMediaTouch and 1st Podcast Publishing
There is always hope where there is a chance for change. This is something we often forget, and fall into hopelessness, just like an adolescent. Only 2 things don't change: death and taxes. There is no hope once you are dead, and if you get money, you must pay taxes. But if you are alive, there is always hope. Better a live dog than a dead lion. When King David's son was ill, he mourned and prayed and did all he could, but when the son died, he gave up his mourning and went back to the business of life. Many people have given up hope when there is still chance of change. In what way are we like adolescents?Adolescents get tunnel vision and feel hopeless at the drop of a hat. It's the first time they have experienced whatever it is, and they believe it will last forever. Only age and experience teach us that nothing stays the same, and that everything changes. But adults can fall into tunnel vision, and forget the lessons they have already learned - that change is inevitable, and that this too will pass. And chances are, that this will even happen again! We need to get a grip on the bigger picture, and realize that, good or bad, things will be different tomorrow. In today's podcast, we discuss the factors in losing hope and gaining perspective. We will see how the ripple effect of life means that everyone is affected by other people, events and situations. Nothing can possibly stay the same in this world. So therefore, there is always hope. If you would like to share your story of how you regained your hope, please let me know here at the http://www.WordsForTheWeek.com or the http://www.YourVoice-Podcast.com site. I just wanted to share this clip with you. I'm walking a very thin line and some of you may be offended, because he offers an equal opportunity religion parody...but I laughed out loud. Being a Jewish Christian, I could laugh at both the Jewish and Christian stuff alike. So if you're open to some funny stuff and can take it with a grain of salt, enjoy this. Otherwise, just wait until next week...(smile)
