You are absolutely right about the myth of HYIP programs! The documentation behind them sounds legitimate: you'll about the mysterious world of International Banking and the Prime Banks and the post-World War II Bretton Woods accords which made all this stuff legal. As an old attorney aquaintance told me "why would Bill Gates and the rest of the CEOs in the world work their butts off if they could double their money in one year?" http://www.quatloos.com/stk... provides an excellent summary of this scam. But what some folks that have made money from these scams may not realize is that the Feds can come after them. If you participate in them, then you are an accomplice to the crime being committed. In this case, you'd be better off having been a victim. At least folks then would only accuse you of being stupid versus being behind bars and labeled a criminal. An excellent story of how this can mislead the best of folks is Annie McGuire's at http://www.fraudaid.com/who...
If this story doesn't scare you away from this type of "opportunity" then ....
