CitiBank has been a target of attempts to acquire credit card information from naive victims. I've received 3 attempts so far in the month of June. The first one came it with the subject "! - Citibank's Offical Notice", the next "your account in Citibank", and this final one "Activate Bill Pay".

It's getting to be almost funny to read the latest of the scam attempts. This one came in an email that was personalized and even the dead person has my same last name:

" SUBJECT: SPECIAL REQUEST!!! Jim Gray
FROM Barr. PHILIP FADAYA.


Dear Jim Gray,

I am Barrister PHILIP FADAYA, a solicitor at law,personal attorney to Mr.J.A Gray,a national Of your country, who used to work with Shell Development Company in Republic of Togo. Here in after shall be referred to as my client."
