A major component of Internet Explorer is being disabled. Following their recent decision to disable the ability to send logins and password via a URL, Microsoft has continued tightening security on their browser by taking out the ability to run Active X scripts. I'm sure this is going to have a few webmasters scrambling for alternatives.

They keep trying to do it and the only reason would be that some folks fall for it. Just got this scam message (the site had already been taken down but it's a good example of the techniques the scammers try). They wanted me to go to their website and probably provide my credit card information.

Over the last couple of days, I've been getting calls that haven't been being identified by my Caller ID. When I pickup the phone I hear the typical delay which means that there's a telemarketer on the other end. Usually I hang up, however, this latest telemarketer hangs up on me if I say "Hello" to fast. So I've been trying to catch them.
Now it may be just a coincidence, but I caught them this morning and it was Armand Morin!

Microsoft just issued a cumulative security patch to IE 6.0 via the Windows Update system yesterday. You may start to see some problems popping up on the Net due to their disabling of a method commonly used to bypass the ugly login/password box that pops up when you access a secure folder on a website.
