The U.N. is in a crisis of relevance. In a desperate effort to prevent the collapse of the international institution, Kofi Annan appointed a 16-member "High Level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change" last November. The report is expected in December. U.N. observers are eagerly awaiting the panel's recommendations about two areas of critical concern to the United States.
The panel is expected to recommend the criteria to legitimize pre-emptive unilateral action, and to recommend major changes in the structure of the U.N. Security Council.
Kofi Annan has already declared the U.S. invasion of Iraq to be "illegal." Panel member Gareth Evans, a former foreign minister of Australia, told an audience at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars:

A Broken Chromosome
Finally, Kerry may have truly settled into a comfortable
position on Iraq. Since Kerry has been ranked as the foremost
Liberal in the Senate, it is appropriate that he has finally
landed as the dove. It is congenital that the liberals
magnetically choose the path of least resistance. It is the
Hide and Hope philosophy. It is Ostrich Management. It is the
congenital strain of Neville Chamberlain appeasement. Do not
confront and tackle the problem directly. Act the way
Chamberlain would act and the way modern Europe acts today.
Face the enemy terrorist as a struggle against individuals
and combat them with legalistic measures. The democrats have
abandoned the mainstream and tilt the pendulum heavily to the
left. The struggle to wrestle the nomination was between Dean
and Kerry. The strength of the democrat party with the class
and good sense logic of Lieberman and Gebhardt was easily
constrained and deferred. The mindset of Kerry underscores the
importance of interpreting terrorism as a nuisances and a battle
that has to waged with concurrence of the global community and
with appropriate sensitivities.

Is Organized Crime Controlling Your PC?
Symantec report says Internet attacks for financial gain on the rise.
Samantha Perry, Computing South Africa
A rise in attacks for financial gain, as opposed to attacks motivated by the creator's desire to gain notoriety, is a disturbing trend noted in Symantec's latest report on Internet security. Symantec is a leading provider of antivirus and PC security software.
The people behind these types of attacks, says Symantec Africa regional manager Patrick Evans, are well-funded, organized crime groups that use networks of bots to obtain financial information for their own gain. "It is not just script kiddies anymore," he says, "although they are still there." Bots, Evans explains, are installed on vulnerable PCs and can be remotely controlled. A further implication of such control is that code can be updated on the fly, rendering antivirus software useless in a matter of seconds.

Most of us haven't thought about this -- no matter how much we like or
dislike John Kerry. Even an estimate of this cost is staggering.
If elected, you and I (or those of us who actually pay taxes) will pay
upkeep and secret service protection for five Kerry mansions here in the
United States plus those he and his wife own abroad. It is good to be
John F. Kerry...the F stands for Forbes in case you ever wondered. He
is one of the richest senators in government and he married even richer.
Their properties certainly reflect their opulent lifestyle. When
someone is elected president, the Secret Service has to protect this
person and family as well as their property - for as long as the
president and his spouse lives!

Hi Bubba,
If you don't think taxpayers will be paying to protect the Kerrys and their property, you live in lala land. You are entitled to believe what you want and so am I. keywords in Google will produce both sides. Nothings changed...
Look internet posters, please google some keywords from this article or do some research before posting. This is from a spam email propogating around the net right now and is only partially true. John Kerry's middle name is Forbes. The rest is false.
Hi Jean, thanks for your response.
That is very true and considering that Kerry's wife has more money than brains wouldn't it be something - taxpayers footing their bill.
Then too, there is the fact that he WILL turn our military over to the UN. I personally think this is because he intends to make Bill or Hillary Secretary General of the UN so the elite of the world can rule the world. Kerry is and has been a long time communist or socialist as they like to be called.
It's scary that more so called Americans don't know the truth but after what's been taught in our schools since the 60s, how can we expect anything else but little socialists - who are now baby boomers holding public office...
Sounds like putting Kerry in the White House would be a very costly measure in more ways than one.
He certainly has a good reason to run for president. He wants his property to be protected by the secret service against terrorists.

Just one day after the United Nations signed a cooperation agreement with the new International Criminal Court, former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev called for implementation of his long-touted "New World Order".
The New World Order, Gorbachev said, will be based on strong adherence to international law and will lean heavily on the UN
Though it's today-the-pond-tomorrow-the-world in spirit, Gorbachev said his New World Order would not seek to impose the view of one country or a group of countries on others.
In a speech to the 91st annual Insurance Leadership Forum, Gorbachev took swift aim at the United States, the only developed nation that has refused to surrender its sovereignty to the International Criminal Court.

(AgapePress) - I have noticed that labeling any industry "big" demonizes that industry immediately. For instance: Big Tobacco, Big Pharmaceutical companies, and Big Corporations. If the farmers in Idaho were to label themselves "Big Potato Agrarians," angry, torch-bearing mobs would drive them out of the state! Given this connotation, I think it appropriate that we finally call the abortion industry, and its cabal of cheerleaders, what they really are: Big Infanticide.
Between the years 1973 and 2003, approximately 44,670,812 abortions were performed in the United States. An estimated 435,000 Americans die each year from tobacco-related illnesses. In other words, approximately 1,489,027 are killed each year by Big Infanticide, while only 435,000 are killed by Big Tobacco!
This is assuming that Big Tobacco is actually responsible for anyone's death...a premise I firmly reject. As an avid smoker of fine cigars, I can attest that no one has ever forced me to smoke. I know the dangers of smoking, but I choose to smoke. A baby does not choose to be aborted; however, I would hardly place any consequences I may experience as a result of my indulgence in tobacco on the same level as a baby being killed by Big Infanticide shoving a spike into its skull!
