Hi John,
Great article!
I just read jl's (iCop) message this morning. Could you give our readers a bit of info about the new email protocol? And, what about the California law that just passed?
If this stuff keeps up I may just bring all my businesses to Q and forget email completely. Just how tough do you see things with email? It is indeed political and sooner or later emailers will be paying to send email to our kids!
Thanks John, for reading and for interacting with comments...
Bobbette,
I can understand why you put this story in the Politics category. <g>
Speaking of politics, the drama which is going to unfold this spring and summer over the Do-Not-Email-Registry will be fascinating.
Consumers yelling do something.
Politicians going to the polls in the fall.
Business saying you will kill the goose, you will kill the goose.
The DMA has already unveiled its opening salvo, which you can read about here:

under the byline "Holy Batman Is This For Real?"
Interesting to see whether we get another what I call "over night in the middle of the night" solution as we did with the legislation.
Kind regards,

The legislators, including Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., on Wednesday threw their support behind a two-year extension of the moratorium, which expired in November and had only temporarily prevented state governments from slapping new taxes on DSL (digital subscriber line), cable modem and dial-up Internet connections. Adm. Moorer's Last Warning
By Christopher Ruddy
It is a sad day for America when a national giant passes. Adm. Thomas Moorer, of Eufaula, Ala., was such a giant.

Adm. Moorer was absolutely correct, war with China is inevitable, and because of Carter, the US is in a much weaker position not having control of the Panama canal. I wish he had stayed in Georgia growing peanuts.

Are you getting tons of biz ops promising tons of money in a short time with little effort? Me, too. When you get that "gut" feeling that something just isn't right with a biz op, what do you usually do?

How much open discussion - by those running for office - do you hear concerning the issues that are most important to most people during presidential elections, like race, immigration, abortion, gun control, decent housing, vet's issues, the disabled and the continuing abolition of Christianity? Not much. Why?
I believe it's because the two-party system prevents expression of any...

ED NOTE: a 74 year old with $7 Billion who has hate in his heart for one man. Now, there is a case for disaster. Could he wreck the country economically to fulfill his lust? He funded the hate site MoveOn.org $5 million and many Dems received millions to get the job done. I wonder how far he will go for what he calls a "guarantee" to get rid of a president. Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of man? History is a great teacher; parks are full of suicides, gunshots from grassy knolls and the planes go down... Is Soros Planning 'October Surprise' for Bush?
